Is it pointless me taking Pethidine if i have a high Oxy tolerance?

I have quite a high Oxy tolerance (around 160mg) and recently ive been taking this with diphenhydramine but its been kocking me out and not getting chance to enjoy high/nod I usually use Promethazine which i think works better all round. (I also always use benzos when i use Opiates)

Anyway i have plenty of tramadol which could try... I always ingest 400mg in one dose and it usually has me feeling good for a few hours as i have some benzos and some nice green to smoke.

My main question is to everybody (especially those knowledgable with Pethidine (Meperidine) The Opoid conversion chart says 400mg = 20mg Oxy or 150mg Tramadol.

Id just like to know of peoples experiences with this drug, its effects, duration of effect and good safe amounts to ingest as i will be taking it orally.

The amount you'd have to take to get hgh is pretty toxic - it has anticholinergic properties so you might get delirium, and it causes seizures at high doses.. and it is serotonergic so no good with venlafaxine. Def not worth it I am afraid

In regards to your tram dosing. Try taking 200mg + 200mg an hour later, see if you feel any better of a high. I always do if I split my tram dosage up into fractions and take it over 1-2 hours. Instead of a steady buzz I usually can find myself nodding 6-7 hours later.

The more you split it up the better. (50+50+50+50+50+50+50+50) over the span of 2 hours would be optimal.

Well i took 500mg in total and fell asleep.Bit of waste

Im might give that a go... Although tonight i plan for a good 200mg dose of
Oxy and then im off out :D

Would Tramadol be worth taking tomorrow or would i be better off waiting a few days for my Opiate tolerance to drop?

200mg every 2 hours seems easy enough to follow but the 50mg every 15 minutes would tke a bit of discipline.

Off topic and i know it hardly ever gets mentioned on here but Flurazepam is a wonderful Benzo

Yeah that was yesterday i havent taken any Tramadol since.

just Benzos, tiny bit of Alcohol and in the next half hour some oxy.

I'm a litle bit confused but if you are on venlafaxine you should steer clear of tramadol and pethidine/meperidine (especially at the dose you would need to take to get high..)

Okay. Still confused, are you on regular venlafaxine? It's important for us to know if you are on a regular SSRI/SNRI so that we can give you safe advice..

Ived been on a mix of SSRI's/SNRI's for the past 8months.

IN order.

1. Citalopram 20mg per day
2. Sertraline 100-200mg per day
3. Venlaxaxine 37,5 x 2daily - 1 x 150mg perday

During this ive also tried to limit my illicit drug use(Benzos + mostly Oxy) but sometimes DHC and at times managed to completely quit for weeks or even months at a time

Out of curiousity... Why are you on such a mix of anti-depressants? I've been prescribed pretty much everything in the anti-depressant, anti-psychotic and mood stabilliser area. I don't think i've ever been prescribed multiple SSRI's/SNRI's at any one point in time though.

Sorry old thread i know.

But i didnt explain correctly.ive been on the listed SSRI's/SSNRI's all seperately nott mixed together, due to the fact that none of them helped me in anyway.

Well i have my Psychiatrist next month hopefully he may be able to help me get to grips with the situation once and for all! And also get me on some medication that will have some posistive impact... then 99% of the rest is up to me.
