A human life is short enough to allow for optimism. Of course, on the other hand, arsehats like Monsanto have already patented fantastic amounts of food source, so I know what you're saying. Despite being optimistic I also wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
 
I remember seeing some shit about Monsanto (or Dow) about how they destroyed the life of the one remaining farmer that grew organic, in a certain town. Every farm plot surrounding his had Monsanto/Dow crops growing on it, the companies sent a team of investigators to his farm, and simply waited for a single seed to fly in the air off some of their crops onto his land, they took him to court and buried him.

The most unsettling thing was that even before the court case, they had all his financial records going back like 20 years.
 
While the news is clearly disgusting, leaving the country because you don't like it seems like the easy way out.
If everyone who was offended by loss of liberty left the US, who would be left?
Just a bunch of Gingrich or Romney supporters, who reminisce back to the lovely days of Bush or Reagan.
The righteous thing to do is to stay put, and to fight (I mean this in a non-violent way) for freedom.
It just takes a solid majority to demand change, and change will come.

Your right, I'll admit I am both frustrated and afraid. I have my own family turning their back on me because I post CopBlock stuff on my facebook on a regular basis. I am definitely going to try to move out to california after I graduate college and have a good job secured. The cost of living is just so cheap in the south :)

I want to fight but I also don't want to be taken out as a dissenter. I've heard that in China, the secret police will come and take people if they are discovered through various means to be against the government.

I guess my point is that I don't want to be trapped here if it gets so bad that nobody can leave...like North Korea for example.

I agree, but I guess you could call me a true American conservative now, as in, there hasn't been a true conservative in this country since the founding fathers, and they were liberal progressives (correct me if I'm wrong).

I am never giving up my U.S. citizenship, and I will fight tooth-and-nail to keep it if I have to; even if that means fighting against "them".
 
At this point all I can say is fuck the government... I don't see it changing anytime soon. I'm going to smoke weed whether you like it or not. We cannot legalize marijuana until we legalize freedom.

These farmers I'd assume MUST own a pitchfork or two. I'd use mine if I were in his position. Wave that fucker proud and high!
