Hi everyone, basically i'm new to this site and thought i would contribute a thread :) . There is alot of talk about these new 'super' pills about in the UK and how they compare to the strong pills of the early rave scene. I wasn't around for the early 90's unfortunately :( , and was wondering what everyone elses views were to this because i've had a quite a few different of these new pills about and would say that only a couple of stamps are quite strong (150mg+) . Another question i have for the old skool ravers is what were the pills like compared to the MDxA crystal and pills about nowadays? Thanks

sounds like a whole lot of hoowee to me...most MDMA pills now are about 60-90mg of MDMA (that is if there is any MDMA in them at all)and people are calling those strong. back in my day 120mg was common. I would almost bet that this so called "Super Pill" monicar is nothing more that a healthy dose of both scare mongering by law enforcement and dealers hyping up the shit that people are calling rolls these days.

I haven't had any of these new super pills...we aren't gettin em in the US, but i would say unless you're taking 2 and rolling face for a solid 5 hours, they're not as strong. And, by rolling face I mean orgasming HARD for 5 hours...stutter vision like there's a fucking earth quake going on, cringingly strong orgasmic waves of pleasure you swear you can feel in your bones and your brain being overwhelmed by rapid fire thoughts of love (ie mindgasm).

It's just not the same game nowadays, but the memories are nice. I would guess some of those pills showing up in the Netherlands with 200+mg mdma are like the ones from the 90s...damn I gotta get over there.

Not having taken all the "superpills" on the market it's impossible say but I did pretty much take all the pills they had to offer in the 90s and I would say they are about the same. Pills like Pink Cali's, Rhubarb and Custards and the plethora of plain white caps that were available were very, very strong. I used to take one at say 11pm at the Ministry and be still off it and dancing at 6am. We wouldn't leave the club until 9-10am sometimes and only took 1 or 2 pills. It was pretty common to be, and see othes who were, incapable of much other than gurning and sitting after taking a single pill. Many times I'd be in the middle of the dancefloor hugging a mate and grinning at each other, puffing and shaking our heads in wonder of the incredible waves of E washing over us with the music "jeeeesus this is fucking amazzzzing!".

I recently took 150mg of MDMA in a cap and that was nowhere near as strong as a 90s pill. I cannot say how pure my MDMA was but you get the idea.

I think these new pills are about the same as the old ones. That is to say very strong and very nice indeed. The only notable thing is that they are so much stronger than the crap we've been getting for the last decade. Anyone into the habit of double-dropping would be in for a nasty surprise.

I'm hoping that with all the financial problems, utterly crap pop music, cutting government and other parallels to the 80s/90s etc in the UK that maybe we'll see a rave revival. Maybe the kids today will want what we wanted and what we got in the early 90s? We just wanted to cut the social differences crap, stuck two fingers up to the law, get off it and dance all night to happy, groovy music you couldn't hear anywhere else. Some people think the smiley logos were just about drugs but it wasn't. It's saying "I'm happy and I'm happy to meet you and have fun with you". I can't see a lot wrong with that.

thats it really, there is more inactives % nowadays, so 100mg of mdma crystals in a dose thats very pure like 90 - 95% would be a very nice dose,

I thought the general consensus was that mdma doesnt exceed 85% in purity these days ?

he's UK, he's straight they have high dose pills now

Guess it's time for me to get back in the game, it's been tooooo long!

Pills were properly wank for a good 2 years stretch though.

This will go on and on and keep coming back around - you can't go back and compare the two because you'll have already damaged / down regulated your brain so it's not a fair test. I've got pills I've saved from the mid 90's along with the best that's come from holland - squirrels speakers and triforce and nothing is like the first few times you take it.

Haha, quite true, we are very spoilt over here at the moment but i won't blag don't worry lol ;)
I've tried most of these high dose pills over here and they are pretty bangin', but i defo want to have a go on these 'speakers' going about as they have been lab tested at 190-200mg+! the report for these are on pillreports, they look very nice :) .

I have a few superpills (red squirrels) in my possession. I am chillin USA, got them from a raver that did get them online. I will be putting in a trip report on 1/1/12. I been dosing 180-200 mg this year of cut product, I suspect. Although, I do get stutter vision and roll hard. All the classic effects of mdma so, who knows? I hear these have a really quality mdma in them. I am gonna find out. I am glad that someone is getting quality molecule. Because if someone out there can get it. I know there is a chance I can get it too.=D

This.

Although this thread isn't as ridiculous as some threads about "old skool" pills/mdma, it still misses the essential point. If you've been rolling for 15+ years, you've got to understand that your brain has changed. MDMA will never be as good as it used to be, because you've done it so many times.

Tbh I don't think the experience changes but you just get used to it. If you take a proper break (6 months+) until you FORGET what rolling excactly feels like I think it would be as good as your first time, if not VERY CLOSE.

I absolutely agree with the statement that you cannot compare the two, because of down regulation of receptors, and the additional fact that if you tried MDMA 25 years ago, you were younger and things were likely more exciting and enchanting in general.

I find everyone complains that pills were "so much better when I first started rolling"- the truth is, it wasn't likely the pills, it was your bodies ability to enjoy them.

I get wayyyy better drugs now than I did when I first started rolling, but I can never top some of those first experiences simply because of where I'm at with MDMA physically.

How can you be sure it's purely physical though? Even with tripping where tolerance drops after a week or so my first high dose trip is the best. I think it's because I had no expectations. The same goes for rolling I think (if you don't do it weekly or anything). I found the quality of the roll drastically depends on my state of mind at the time. If I take molly expecting it to be a fantastic time, I might be dissapointed, opposed to your first time where you just try it out and see where it'll get you.

Those are some inspiring words right there mate. To be honest, i love my old skool 90's hardcore because it's the roots to what i listen to today (jungle/drum'n'bass). Me and my cousin have been going out quite a lot these last 3 years and have watched the whole drum'n'bass scene take a change for the worse because of this whole mainstream/dubstep issue :/ . It's introduced a completely different crowd compared to what we had not too long ago, with all these kids doing methedrone and stuff, and to be honest i can't stand dubstep..way too moody.
Because of this whole thing, we've started going to a few old skool hardcore/jungle events in London, and no word of a lie, we have had the best times of our lives there. It's just full of decent people who used to go out in the 90's and the vibes and atmosphere are just unreal, you can literally just go up and talk to anyone as if they're your best friend. For me, that's what raving is all about, being able to go out, feel amazing and enjoy the music you listen to and share it with a big crowd of people who are on the complete same level as you are. You just can't beat it

Uhm, most clubs around here that play techno has the exact same vibe. It didn't change at all, just the choice of music did. I've only seen this at techno party's though. When they play some generic house crap the crowd is full of stuck-up assholes too drunk to finish a sentence properly. Then there's the rave scene, they preach about being free spirits, everyone gets accepted and all that BS, but the minute someone walks in who looks different and isn't into psychedelics you'll get stared at like you're a cop or something, and dare you mention you like anything else then psy-trance, DnB or hardcore they look at you like you're the badguy. Around here the ravers are excactly the same as the mainstream which they despise lol.
