i wrote a massive post out about what sort of grammar and structure you're going to be basing it on, before noticing you said..

There are no words or letters, it is going be purely based on symbols, like the old languages, the ancient egyptian ones for example

i think some sort of structure is necessary, because the basis of language is that you can learn from it and apply the same rules to new concepts and words, scenarios etc., you dont want it to just be something where you're just memorising loads of symbols for words

and if i remember correctly, egyptian heiroglyphics as well as mayan/aztec pictographs actually corresponded to certain letters and had syntax.

also, were you planning on having it a spoken language too, or just written?

There are more than enough languages already. Why not focus on learning one that will help in your life if you're going to go through all the trouble.

I think it's a bit harsh all the name-calling and piss taking.. sure it's an off the wall idea, but I reckon most of us who are on here are a bit nuts.. if nothing, this thread got me reading a bit of stuff about Noam Chomsky's linguistics work, so I'm a bit more educated than when I opened the thread first.

Full marks on the Chomsky, TES! For a more easily digestible summary of the more basic aspects of Chomsky's approach to semantics, see Alfred Korzybski and General Semantics. Then speak in E-Prime for a week with some Crowleyan magick and you're halfway to deconditioning.
 
Could spend the time thinking up new words for the english language we don't have at the minute.
