I'm going to invent a new written language!!!

It's not necessarily a cipher on english, but on all written languages, and more of a pictograph system as NT said, just because I think in english, doesn't mean that the language will only be able to be understood by english speaking people.



Oh, and if you don't have anything nice to say but "you are a twat" or whatever the fuck you said PC then just don't say anything at all you waste of space. I'm fucking fed up of people trampling all over my ideas and thoughts and declaring them ridiculous or crazy just because they don't fit with all social norms and the sheep way of thinking that most people possess.

I was just asking a question about the fundamentals of language and asking for suggestions and help, not ridicule, although as I said in my OP, the majority of the responses that I received were 100% as I expected. :\

Another forum that I don't really want to hang out in anymore for a while now :\

Creativity and innovation are what I am going for, not learning a dead language that I really don't believe has any purpose.

I plan on moving to the UK in the next year so I stepped over into EADD to check it out.

And learning Latin is incredibly useful. It gives you a far superior knowledge of the english language.

was a joke man, I know you weren't here to check up on me, just not seen you in EADD much before. no need for the :p

I would have no use for latin. I just want to do this new language/pictograph system thing for my own entertainment, like a project. Some people knit, some people do sudoku, some people build computers, some people write computer programs, some people create computer languages, some people create written languages, some people create symbolic pictographic languages.
 
It's not really a language though, Its more or less a coded pictograph version of english as you are basing it off english words and phrases resembling these with a symbol no?

But still yes i can see it's a project to keep you interested.

LOL Mugz. You never fail to dissapoint with your mad ideas. I bet we don't even see the MS paint version of your symbols, you'll be bored before then. I'd just learn Spanish if I was you, will come in handy for your round the world trip...or has that been forgotten about too?
 
No, that hasn't been forgotten about, it has slightly altered though. I'm going to do 6 months volunteer work in peru in spring/summer 2013, then move on to mexico for another 3 months, then move up to see my family in san diego for xmas 2013. That is what I am saving up for now.

Am still attempting to learn spanish too, using Rosetta Stone

I never once said you were a twat.

I said you were a fucking muppet. You are on here shouting that you are currently in the process of creating your own language. That is fucking stupid, therefore you are a fucking muppet. Case closed.

Take a step back & think about it for a second. There is absolutely no chance whatsoever that you will even come close to achieving whatever it is that you are trying to achieve here. You know yourself that by next week you will have dropped this idea completely & even if you did stick at it it's still a fucking ridiculous thing to do.

i think mugz next come back should be to tell PTCH to fuck off using his symbolic pictographic language.

to save time you could just use the webdings font as the alphabet for Mugzlish

I'm not a muppet though, and who cares if it fails, at least I am trying to do something creative and having fun with it. What the hell is wrong with that. People have hobbies, this is one of mine.

Can we get back on subject please though.

I need a list of all question words so I can adapt some of my symbols for questions



edit - and watson, I will be coming back to make a statement to PC in my own language once it is ready for use, which to be honest could take a while. I can probably create a temporary phrase that doesn't use the whole language in a day though.


edit - insanity and creativity are two sides of the same coin ;) Not sure on the language's name yet. Am not sure it needs an "English" name I think a symbol will suffice seeing as it is a written symbolic language.
 
Right, I've decided you're at it. Surely.

If you're not taking the piss & you actually are serious then I'll explain "what the hell is wrong with it". It is the equivalent of me saying that I've got a new hobby, I am going to build a life size replica of the statue of liberty in my attic. It is clearly not possible & a frankly ludicrous thing to even say.
 
It's just a bastardization of the english language into made up symbols.

Kudos if you actually stick to this and succeed...
