Benzo Discussion Vol. 2

Haha my weekends I would be naught and titrate my xanax dose up to 30mgs...

Sublingualling that much xanax is pretty gross lol.

:D.

I'm clean off benzo's and lyrica now. 4 month taper to get clean.

I kinda miss that first thing in the morning dose of 120mg valium and 4mg xanax.

Midazolam is pretty fun. If you like waking up with your face in your ashtray and a syringe hanging out of your arm ;).
 
I' be OK I don't smoke or pin up, can you get it in tablet form or do it IM?
 
Congratulations on you taper tripman, and well done for staying clean, must have been hard work!

ATM, lol! Yeah it probably is for the best you don't have accsess to more exotic benzos mate, especially if you are prone to benzo addiction, or addiction in general really! I'm sure I've read in the last few pages somewhere, that you've had some problems with Diaz, how's it going for you mate? :)

It was hard work, but I got there in the end.

I had a little relapse recently with some nitrazepam and triazolam.

But clean again :).
 
Like I said, well done mate! And don't be too hard on yourself for a little relapse, we all know the hardest part is staying off! Again well done and good luck for the future!
 
@Acidtek was doing well on a taper but fell off the wagon for various reasons, then recently manged to run out whilst on a 3 figure daily intake and went cold turkey fro about 3 days...not pleasant at all. It's made me realise that I really need to kick them for good and stop yoyo'ing on and off them, I do all the hard work of tapering off then end up starting again a few weeks later. These days I don't take anything else not even booze so its my last remaining comfort. I'm not really sure I know how to live without some drugs to ingest on a daily basis but I intend to find out in 2012:)

how the fuck did you manage to get scripted that much ? If i remember your on;ly 21 ?
Thats crazy n sounds a tad fishy tbh
 
Good luck to you ATM for the new year! I hear what your saying though, I can't imagine life without ingesting some chemical on a daily basis, I think it's because it's all I've known for such a long time now and breaking that cycle is really hard, as we all know!
 
@ brimz, it is pretty unbelievable to be honest, getting a doc to prescribe you 10mgs a day is fucking hard work so a doc that prescribes 120mgs a day on top of other benzos must be a fucking moron! Didn't realise tripman was only twenty one

Ok let me explain. Yes i'm 21.

Started out at 2mg xanax when I was 18 and shortly was upped to 6mg xanax daily. After a year or so on that I was upped further to 8mg xanax and put on 40mg valium daily with 20mg nitrazepam for sleep. After a long while of that I was put on 10mg xanax daily, 80mg diazepam daily and .5mg triazolam for sleep. Chilled with that for a while until they switched my triazolam to 1mg flunitraz for sleep. They then upped my diaz to 120mg and my flunitraz to 2mg.

Throughout that time I was tried on clonazepam, oxazepam, bromazepam, temazepam and lorazepam and the doc wasn't happy with any of those. Note during this 3 year period I was seeing a psychiatrist twice a week, and during the last year I spent 100+ days in 7 different psychiatric hospitals.

Diagnosed with Sleep Disorder, Chronic Anxiety, Bi-polar Disorder, OCD and a few other disorders.

My psychiatrist was a little bit fishy TBPH but he was a very highly qualified professor in Australia.

I didn't even try to get it scripted really. Maybe it's easier in Aus. For example I got .5mg triazolam scripted to me daily on the first visit at a GP a month or so back.
 
^^ I have bi polar, social anxiety disorder and insomnia, I'm prescribed olanzapine, Venlafaxine, pregabalin and now zopiclone. I didn't try to get prescribed any of them, it was my psych's recommendation! I think things must be different in aus, I don't think a uk professional would prescribe you as much as that!

Anyway, do your scripts allow you to live some kind of a normal life? That's the most important thing!
 
Well the thing is that I am now off everything except for 40mg escitalopram daily.

I was on 1000mg quetiapine, 1000mg Sodium Valproate, 20mg Escitalopram, 120mg diazepam, 10mg Alprazolam and 2mg flunitrazepam daily back several months ago.

It didn't necessarily help me to live a normal life, but it stopped me from going 7days without sleep and start hallucinating and also stopped me trying to kill myself. :\. Also stopped me having several panic attacks daily where I would pass out... I passed out several times in public areas from panic attacks.

I'm managing now without the medications and am actually working full-time for the first time in 3 years. Life is getting back on track, saving up money to move to the UK, so I have a goal which keeps me moving forward!
 
I'd agree non of th doctors I've seen will prescribe be benzos, many have made a point of sating that with my "addiction profile" they have to avoid anything with any addiction potential. I could of had some Librium when I came off the booze but since I was tapering he Diaz at the same time there was no point.

I guess now its a case of me, to some extent self prescribing Diaz so I don't suffer much in the way of anxiety because I always fall back on the Diaz, I try not to take it during the day but I always have some with me. I wouldn't sleep without it either.

But this new CBT guy is really good I'm looking at upping my exercise regime so lets hope 2012 sees better times than the last few years for us all
 
^^^ I'm doing CBT at the moment ATM! The lady who I'm doing my course with is lovely, so good at her job! Best I've met in ten years! Glad it's working out for you mate :)

I was on 120mg diaz a day back in 1997 & 80mg Temaze liquid a day its taken me till know to get to 30m,g diaz n 20mg nitrazepam
You getting loads of stuff wrong here as well Benzos aren't prescribed if u got suicidal tendencies , me tinks u dicksizing , ffs your only a kid theirs no way u would gert that in the uk these days psych ward or not
