can they remove it or do they just rely on warfrin? and is the warfrin just to make sure it doesnt get worse, or does it reduce the thrombus in size?

my sister has a clot in her arm atm, where one of her old fistulas was, but they've just left it without treatment
 
Shit that's some bad news brimz, sorry to hear that, especially round Christmas and all that! Hope it gets sorted for you soon mate! <3

I won't know untill i have had the scan , i hope it will be the warfrin but cos of the severity of the ruptured fem artery (i was in hospital a month ) i'm not sure .

The warfrin keeps your blood from clotting you have to have an i&r reading in the correct place it takes ages to get the right dose , but i'd rather that than have another op on my groin . You like scars don't you or was it YPDH ? I dunno well i got some pretty special ones around that area :\
 
Hey Brimz, hope you're OK, sounds rotten. Are you just naturally inclined to DVT or is this down to drug damage do you think? Hope it can be fixed up without too much poking around in there.

i'd be a liar if i said i was naturally inclined to DVT .

You don't get away with abusing your body as much as i do without consequences , even though i may look 208)

I cant believe i didnt book it off either :( im saving my holidays for amsterdam though so i guess its worth it, i fucking hate work at the moment, time moves at snails pace, and im still really stoned from this morning, not good

Well at least someone else is suffering with me, BCF. That shouldn't make me feel better but it does. :)

Honestly, I can see myself bringing as hipflask in tomorrow if it stays at this pace.
 
i was thinking the exact same, a few beers would take the edge off for sure, well at least im not working the whole week, got friday off as im off to visit family in ireland, 4 days of getting pissed right up and smoking lots of weed sounds good to me, i think this must be like my 5th week sober (well, of drugs, not booze) and still not really craving anything, i think i might have cracked it! although a few oxys would be bliss right now!
 
A few oxys would be more than bliss. I was swimming in the things last year.

Come to think of it, a fentanyl patch would be fun too. Damn you for getting my opioid juices flowing. It's been a while.

Are you planning to break out of the abstinence over the festive period BCF? It'd be a shame not to.
 
fentanyl,not tried that one, or suboxone, can you snort those? lol, your just as bad, now i want some fucking oxys! yeah im sure i will, just skint is all, got a guy locally with allsorts of goods so yeah i will have to get something in for the festive period, most likely new years as ill be with family for xmas, last year i brought over loads of nos, my dad was not impressed seeing me looking like a retard breathing in and out of a balloon! so i think i will keep low key this time!
 
You can snort suboxone, yeah. I've only ever snorted subutex and temgesics but obviously the buprenorphine's the same chemical in each of the three; suboxone just has the naloxone in to deter addicts.

Fentanyl is fun in a very fiendish way. Some people don't love it that much but I do. Haven't touched it since the spring though.

Good luck in getting through things relatively sober - I don't think your dad would approve of any further surprises. ;)
 
Fent is well over rated & the potential for death is massive , stay away i rekon , not that i wouldn't say no to a patch , but unless u got a decent opiate tolerance its a dance with the devil.
 
Yeah, it's got its drawbacks but I like it. I've never come close to an OD even when I've had quite a low tolerance but you have to be careful. Extremely careful.

I can see why some people find it overrated but it ticks all the boxes for me.
