An app featuring a cartoon porcupine that seeks to highlight the perils of drug use - partly designed by a Manchester animation house - has been blocked by Apple for being "too violent".
Working with a digital agency which didn't want to be named, Kilogramme created a game for Oxfordshire Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) that allows players to to steer the porcupine through a house party without succumbing to the temptation of drugs and alcohol.
It depicts the side effects of various drugs such as vomiting, hallucinations and collapse.
It was released for android devices in September but proved too much for Apple which came back saying it was too violent.
