DRUG users are being warned of an ingredient mixed in some ecstasy tablets which could lead to users overdosing.

The Scottish Crime and Drug Enforcement Agency (SCDEA) said availability of the class A drug has increased in recent months and that partygoers should be aware of the potentially fatal risks.

It said tablets which look like ecstasy have been found to contain a drug called PMMA which has been blamed for several deaths across Europe.

PMMA is said to have similar effects to the more commonly known ingredient MDMA but some users believe it is less potent, meaning they end up taking higher doses.

People are still putting PMA/PMMA in pills?

Why do they even bother taking the time and money to synthesize that shit in the first place? Put in flour, dust, sugar, ANYTHING but poison.

They don't get that they're hurting their market by doing this shit. "Molly" as unreliable as it can be, seems to be at least more reliable on average than rolls. I've never taken a roll cause I've never heard anything good about them stateside in the last few years. However, I have taken great molly every time I've rolled. I just don't want to take the gamble and I'm sure I'm not the only one. They should make rolls nice mixes and have all the MDMA pure.

Like have it well known that the rolls are comprised of mdma with other desirables (MDA, 2c-b, etc.) and have the mdma pure.

Just an idea to get rid of all of this bullshit.

I hope the governments are happy with what they're doing. They're as much to blame for these deaths as the pill manufacturers.

It's possible the cook got burned. If you switch sassafras oil with anise oil you end up with PMMA.

Thats's the most likely explanation. Someone decided to use anise oil for cost reasons. Sad, really.

If you know the dosage, however, you could have an OK time. But be careful. Pressed pills lend themselves to "skittles parties" and the like.

I would guess the reason PMA and its N-methylated homolog are pressed into pills due to the greater obtainability and less pig surveillance on the requisite essential oils compared to sassy oil or safrole itself.
