I love iconic & ephemeral images

I've got a pic of my mum from the 1970's, sat on an old tin dustbin at the back of an old terraced house with a short dress on, smoking a fag in a short stripey tightfit dress. couldn't get any more like the old Coronation Street credits if it tried. she's got a backcombed kinda bouffant hairdo to boot. will try to fish it out later, most prob tomorrow, and post it. best image I've seen of her ever. says 'working class bint' all over it [which she is/we are]

to my amazement and many lolz a few months ago she told me that until a couple of years back [and only due to the grand kids teaching her new tricks] she's only recently learned how to drink from a bottle, because it's something she's never had to do, and didnt know how to. [edit] apparently up until then, she thought you kinda had to chug it back popeye style [like when he was eating cans of spinach in the old cartoon] .. didnt realise you can swallow mid way through.

Yeah thankyou Sam.. bittersweet compliment though. I dont look like that anymore.. Ive got my older woman kind of beauty going on ( im not talking about a physical thing).. but when I see photos of my youth I feel sad. I had no idea the power that I had. You can see from the photo I was a bit gormless lol.. If I knew what I know now Id have worked my womenly whiles a bit more strategically and actually more calculatingly..

Marmz, I just told Cheryl that someone had said she looked like my dom and she reckons it was the other way round. Sorry

Ive gone down into grottyness loads of times since I was 31. You look in the mirror and think youll never get it together again.
But eat the right kind of foods. Take the right kind of vitamins ..( in your case Id imagine Milk Thistle would really support your liver I know you like a drink). Drink plenty of water.
Get fresh air and exercise. Definitely try not to smoke. *sing song voice * youll be looking your best again in no time.

I look like bloody shit at the moment.

(well Im not being narcissistic I just said I looked like shit and that was before I saw your post SHP :P )

Whats the bloody point of being retrospectively hot.. how tragic!

On a side note, after Marmalade asked, was having a look through pictures to try find one of me with long hair. And found this shocker, lol ! This is me smacked up on a night out couple years back, it was the beginning of my descent into addiction. Only me could somehow manage to look better after a few years of addiction :|

Well you'll love me even more when I tell you I have another two scars that are the same size as the one on my arm, and many more smallers ones. I'm far to scar'd then a 22year old should be.

The one on my arm in that picture was the result of a bad acid trip which led me to punching my way through a glass door and almost bleeding to death though :|..
