6-APB Effects Felt 9 Hours After Ingestion. What Happened?

Last weekend, three of my friends used some 6-APB. All of them took 130 mg at around 9 pm. Two of the doses were from one source, and the third dose was from another source. All doses were taken in identical gel caps, so I have no idea who took what. An hour after dosing, two out of the three felt the desired effects and rolled for the rest of the evening. The third person felt nothing the whole night. I assumed he had gotten the one dose from the other vendor, even though both vendors had never let me down before.

Here is where it gets weird. Around 6 am the next morning, nine hours after ingestion, the 6-APB finally hit the third person. He tried to fall asleep around 5:30, and woke up at 6 with eye wiggles and euphoria. Those effects lasted about 6 hours until around noon. Basically, the effects started 9 hours after ingestion and ended 15 hours after ingestion. And it wasn't just some residual stimulation. It was the full blown desired effects of 6-APB.

My question to you guys is, what the hell went wrong? Is it possible one gelcap could have been defective? Could the gelcap somehow have gotten coated in food inside his stomach before it could release? Is there some other chemical out there that is known to do this that could have been shipped as 6-APB? None of these seem too plausible, but I can't think of any other explanations. What do you guys think?

I'm not exactly sure what happened but I can testify that I have a friend this happened to when he ingested 2C-C in a gelcap. It wasn't as profound, only a 2 hour delay, but it was similar in nature.

It's hard to say when we're talking about something so biologically nuanced and variable.

I mean, my boyfriend and I have had a dose require anywhere from a 1-3 hour come up depending on the dose, tolerance, set/setting, and seemingly random factors out of our control. I'd imagine 6apb would probably be subject to these same variables.

I've heard of plenty of weird reactions with various drugs like this, it could be due to having an extremely full stomach, slow metabolism, some kind of drug interaction or something else. I'm not sure to be honest, but maybe someone can offer some more info.

I would merge this with the 6-APB thread, but I don't think this only applies to 6-APB as this has happened to many other people with others drugs, and it'd be good to see where this discussion goes and if anyone can explain why this happens. I'm curious :)

Thanks for the replies guys. My friend had eaten a fairly large meal around an hour before dosing, but nothing too extreme. He wasn't using any other recreational drugs that night, although I don't know if he takes any prescribed medications. Also, he had used 6-APB once before and it worked fine that time. Could the 6-APB somehow have decomposed into a pro-drug to 6-APB or something similar? Like my other theories, it seems unlikely, but I figured I'd toss it out there.

Personally, I'd be inclined to believe this experience a fluke. I doubt you'll metabolize the chemical at the same rate or strength that at which you metabolized 2c-c. The chem is much more forgiving, even at higher doses.

Plenty of 2C's have come ups like this. I have had a 35mg 2CB trip on a pretty empty stomach start effects 3 hours after taking the cap and peak around 4 hours later. I was a little surprised and sceptical when I started to feel it 3 hours in as I had given up thinking it was bunk and started drinking, bad move.

obviously this'd be a one in a million chance... but if the dose got stuck inside a piece of sweetcorn husk or something, could it get transported through the stomach to the lower intestines and only be absorbed then?

i'd wager this phenomenon has never been reported with LSD, only with things that could make it through the stomach to the intestines without an active dose being absorbed... anyone care to offer their own experience there?

And yours was an atypical reaction as well as the OPs, which is why I mentioned it.

your body metabolises drugs less predictably then most, i think that's as simple as it is

this is not unheard; you can get people who eat shrooms and then suddenly start tripping the next day !!

I once ate a monkey after chewing on a empty vile of acid (bad idea lol) and didnt feel it for about 6 hours, then had a full blown 4 hours of rolling hard.

I once many, many years ago had this weird delayed, then all of a sudden... BOOM!! start with 2c-e and 2c-i combo. I had combined the same substances a week before and then the effects started in normal way within an hour, maybe in 30-45 mins (can't remeber anymore acurately and haven't tripped with either one for a long time). Anyways, I took much larger dose than before, maybe doubled even, and put the powders inside some bread dough (already baked) as i had nothing else to bomb them in.

I waited and waited but nothing happened...

After about 1h 45 mins i decided to eat a sandwich and what happened next was the most intense and fastest compeup ever on oral dosing. Within 10 minutes I went from baseline to peak 8o, no lieing. It was actually very shocking and the stimulation from a huge dose of 2c-i (+ huge dose of 2c-e) was absolutely too much. Everything in my vision vibrated and moved at insane speed and i felt my heart beat like motherfucker. That created a horrible panick attack and complete terror because of the sudden unexpected speed of the comeup. I couldn't stay still for a second and the feeling only got worse every moment. I was sure that i'll be dead soon and after crying, praying and then closing my eyes sitting on the floor on my knees i could do nothing but completely surrender to my fate and be ready to end of my world. This surrendering however flipped the trip around and as the overstimulation settled i realized i'm gonna be alive after all and that brought upon very strong euphoria and relief for rest of the day.

I had some Electric Kool-Aid blotter once, that was supposed to be LSD.

Took one dose after I had given it out, and people said it wasn't working. (Got it from a vendor who had never let me down before. EU doses usually) So I ran home furious and dropped it, around 10p.m.?. Bitter weird taste.

It kept me up ALL night, but not tripping... Just a weird feeling like it WANTED to come out, but didn't, and no pupil dilation. At around 6-7a.m. the next morning, I started tripping out. Like a normal one hit dose of LSD. Pupils were then dilated.

It was the weirdest thing... Nobody else said they felt like that, just that it didn't work. At least he let me send back the 5 I had leftover and gave me a gram of some bomb molly.:D

My experience has been that gel-caps are the absolute worst for predictable onset. I've experienced completely normal onset times and onset times delayed by 4 hours. Furthermore, I experience greater delays of onset after a large meal, even if the substance in question is pre-dissolved in a beverage and taken that way. Thus, it does not seem surprising to me that you experienced extremely long onset time between the gel-cap and the large meal. Maybe next time no large meal beforehand and avoid the gelcap?

This happened to me with mescaline. I ingested a mild dose that my friend said wouldn't do anything. I went to work, got off work 4 hours later, came home and started drinking a beer, then BOOM it hit. Before it hit, there was no sign of effects at all. It was in a gelcap.

No way to tell for sure what happened. However i will say that i, and a couple friends, have found 6-apb to be very susceptible to delayed onset when taken shortly after eating. Not had anything quite that dramatic happen yet, but 4-5hrs til peak effects if taken with a full stomach isn't terribly odd.
