The pituitary releases Anti-diuretic Hormone while on MDMA.
This inhibits the production of urine and the absorption of water through the intestines.
When serotonin syndrome occurs, ADH can be so high it is called SIADH, or syndrome of inappropriate anti-diuretic hormone. SIADH is the leading cause of hyponatremia, a dangerous imbalance of water/electrolytes in the bloodstream that can lead to cerebral edema!
Hyponatremia is the leading cause of death from MDMA.
Often called 'water intoxication'.
SIADH and hyponatremia have been documented in MDMA users that have NOT had fluids.
It may be a misconception that all cases of 'water intoxication' actually involve water.
MDMA damages the 'brain-gut' circuitry that is the serotonin system.
Even good rolls normally involve an increase in ADH.
And I have to agree that every roll I ever had involved difficulty urinating, until the peak.
Right after the peak, when cortisol, serotonin, and ADH begin to fall...urination is AMAZING.
Among the greatest sensations possible.
Try sex right after the peak.
Even better.
But remember that ADH, released by the hypothalamus control of the pituitary, is the actual cause.
