So, clobazam just became approved in the US under the name Onfi. Wikipedia says it isn't a true benzodiazepine, other sources say it is. What is it? And if anyone has experience with it, please share. Is it benzo-like in effects, which other benzos is it comparable to? I have a feeling this is going to become a popular drug of recreation in the US.

Haven't tried this, but looking at the structrures:

Benzodiazepine general structure:
So you can see that there are a few nitrogens, oxygens out of place. From what I can gather though, this shouldn't make much difference in its effects, and for all intents and purposes, can be treated the same as most benzos, similar to the Z-drugs (though the Z drugs are probably more dissimilar)

I just got prescribed 10, 10mg Urbonal (Clobazam). I stay in South Africa and was trying to get something for my phobia of flying, so the doctor gave me these. I said they probably won't work, so he gave me some Ativan too. I haven't tried them out yet but I am tweaking on some crystal at the moment and 1 of these Clobazam pills took away a lot of the tension and a bit of anxiety I had...
According to my doctor he said they prescribe it for anxiety and depression. I Don't have a benzo tolerance at all but have tried Alprazolam,Clonazepam,Diazepam,Lorazepam,Midazolam and Etizolam.
I feel no buzz of any kind really but it has taken away the anxiety I had and it seems to have a long half-life according to Wiki.
When I am sober I will take 1 or 2 pills and see if I feel anything significant or recreational in the sense of stress relief,muscle relaxation etc.
Although it states Clobazam has mainly anxiolytic effects and is helpful with seizures.

Ive got a stupid Benzo tolerance yet 200mg Clobazam has me feeling nice.
Apparently 20mg Clobazam = 10mg Diazepam which is the Benzo i mostly use so IMO/IME 200mg Clobazam makes me feel a lot nicer than 100mg Diazepam.
