last night i drank about half a 750 i think it was of vodka and a few beers. i wasn't drunk but just buzzing. then over the next two hours i did 45mg of oxycodone which got me leaning nicely but i wasn't feeling sick or anything at all. i wasn't feeling the alcohol very much at all by the time i was doing percs so i thought i was good.

anyways, so i end up not being able to fall asleep very well either. tossing and turning, itching, just felt like i could never get into a deep sleep without waking up. but i still felt fine. i remember chugging some water in the middle of the night. then i woke up at 8am and felt very sick and hungover. i started puking to the point where i had nothing more to puke but my stomach was still trying to get something out. stupidly, i kept drinking water, and kept puking...i was dehydrated but couldn't keep it down. later i realized ginger ale and iced tea helped. i went into work but they sent me home since i looked like green and clammy and kept almost puking. i told em it must have been a stomach virus going around.

but iv been sick as hell for over half the day today and still feel pretty shitty. does this sound like a stomach bug or the result of the alc + percocet? because now I'm not puking but I'm just really tired from the day.. iv mixed the two before and never had this happen to me...and like i said i wasn't very drunk at all.

Short answer: don't drink on opis. Nausea if fairly common with alcohol in large quantities, and nausea/itching is also a very common side effect from opiates due to histamine release.

And, of course, downers like alcohol can be very dangerous when mixed with opis. One of the most common causes of death with opis is aspiration of vomit, and comboing drugs like these greatly increases risk.

Recommend picking up some antihistamines (allergy/hayfever meds, normally sold OTC. Common ones are diphenydramine(benadryl), cetirizine and loratadine). They should alleviate most of the sickness and itching.

well the itching wasn't bad at all. that was to be expected. but why did i only get sick the next day? usually if I'm going to get sick its going to be soon after i do the perc. this time it was 7 hours later and i got hit with what seemed like the flu. i mean it was pretty bad. i realize mixing the two is dangerous but like i said i thought i was fine since the alcohol was wearing off. but obviously it wasn't fine. lesson definitely learned. i never want a day like today again. very bazaar though.

Not real sure. It's so bad on the liver to drink while popping. I've def done it so not judging over here. I could understand it maybe making you nauseated or vomit once but not for days. If all you had was vodka beer and Percs then it does kind of sound like a bug or something. Keep hydrated and ginger def helps. I would go to dr if you don't feel better by the next day.

I'm starting to feel better. haven't puked since about mid day but just feel like shit in general from so much puking and being so sick in the morning. idk maybe my body just had a reaction to the amount that i mixed. i have a little theory that thats why i wasn't sleeping well and then finally when i was awake my body was not having it. initially i thought it was a stomach bug. but if it were a stomach bug i doubt it would go away in like 8hrs like this..

^ very difficult for us to tell over the internet! Alcohol and opioids can definitely make people vomit, but stomach bugs can too and the worst of them can be over in 8 hours sometimes. As Justsomegirl mentioned, taking Percocets (or any APAP containing drug) with alcohol is a bad idea for your liver - if you're not drinking make sure you don't take more thsn 3000-4000mg of APAP in a day, but if you are drinking I would reduce this to 2000mg max, ideally none.

Ginger is really wonderful for nausea isn't it!!

As you are feeling better now and all we can really do is speculate I am going to close this, but feel free to shoot me a pm if you have any queries :)
