just discussed options with my artist... looks like the third one will be the best bet.. i do like this one.. he is a sassy old kitteh but that is why i love him... :)

^ Snow, #3 is exactly the one I would pick! He looks like a wise old Buddha!
@Badfish--yes to all of your questions, and your dog is quite a regal lab.

@Asclepius--you are such an animal lover, do you have pets?

@Wesley--no wonder she is your best girl when she looks at you like that!

@Doomed--I know the cat/keyboard struggle well!

They're nuts. Smudge is a bit of a biter. Doesn't bother the g/f but any exposed skin on me he latches straight onto and bites down HARD! Flash is the adventurous one, thinks he can leap tall buildings in a single bound, things like that. He can't unfortunately, but t'is funny as fuck watching him try. Smudge is going through the winter colour change at the minute so he's losing the mask he has here and his face will go almost white. At their most colourful though right now, especially noticeable with the silver one as we keep ours outdoors and the oils oxidising on their winter coats are going a beautiful deep amber in places.

This is my 'Summer Meiko' first name 'Summer' second name 'Meiko' I named her Summer and my brothers girlfriend added 'Meiko' so there ya go.

She's a Jack Russel X Maltese/Shi-Tzu, and is 14 months.
She's a brilliant mind in the area of life philosophy, wise beyond her years. She always knows what mood I'm in and how to make me feel better and if she hasn't seen me in 10 minutes she comes and sits on my head then proceeds to lick my face for 5 seconds and then runs away (she's always very busy lot of bugs to to eat, ya know) she's not so much a dog as she's undefinable, some of my friends call her a dog, cat, monkey, meerkat but we're certain she is a creature of some sort, i just call her a beautiful spirit :)

Stella you look like an angel! And your kitty is soooo content in that first picture.
Schiz, your beautiful spirit in a dog's body is adorable!<3 I was just reading an article about using dogs for people with anxiety/panic disorders because they can totally sense the persons mood. Some returning combat vets are being helped by getting these dogs that have been trained to anticipate panic.

Thats exactly why im bringing my puppy into the house I live in now. My grandpa died 7 months ago and my grandma already suffered from anxiety, but now with him gone, she feels like she has no one anymore, so its gotten a lot worse. Ive read a lot on how animals can help the elderly and widowed and anxiety-ridden, so im hoping she loves him enough where I can buy her one of her own so shes not so lonely anymore.

^Thank you, herbavore. He is VERY spoiled. I was just glad I got that mouse the other day before he saw it, lol. <3

^ I have heard this too. They are bringing dogs into retirement homes and hospitals and it is supposted to be helping their health get slightly better. I mean if you think about it. When you feel happy seeing a dog I would see how the positive vibes would help your health. Your state of mind has a lot to do with our health in a lot of ways imo. <3

Exactly, and I know how I feel when im around dogs, so im pretty sure that it would affect her in a very positive way. She also has heart trouble, and im thinking a lot of it has to do with how worked up she gets when her anxiety flares up. She can never sit down or calm down, its always a huge tornado of emotions, so i bet being calmed down by a puppy would help her heath hugely.

^I bought summer cause i moved in with my mother after my father left her (so it's just the two of us), mum (or 'mom') was getting depressed/lonely and i thought a little doggie would help, but i didn't realize she would help me so much too! I'm single and without any children of my own, i see her as a daughter figure, someone to care for. Sometimes she'll sit with me for hours while i smoke and listen to tunes..... we just chill out together, I hadn't had a dog since my early teens (27 now) and i had forgotten how loyal they are, beautiful creatures.

There's alot of scientific evidence that dogs do wonders for people healthy or not (even making you live up to 5 years longer). But you don't need 'scientific evidence' just get one, treat him/her well, and they'll love you till the day you die :)

Aww thats adorable! Thats what I want from my puppy, since im having all these biological hormonal have a kid thoughts in my head, I just need something to care for and love, since I dont really ever want to have human kids lol. Animal kids are more for me : ) My grandma is so down right now and im happy, but going through a semi-shitty time in my life and i definitly could use puppy kisses lol

All my friends are macho and 'cool' (at least they think they're cool) and would never listen to me waffle on about such things.................. i think TDS really helps people.

ah, my friends are all pretty much like me, more or less. I talk about shit like this even if they dont wanna hear it : D TDS is great

This thread makes me want to melt. I cannot wait to get back up so I can get to the mac and start posting pictures of ma kitteh :D she is my lifeline and spends all of her time comforting me and entertaining me with her retardedness!!! Other than my boy of course, but he tends to dive on me alot by accident lol.
