you cant hate me cuz if you were me you would be exactly the same i was born into this person i was MEANT TO BE THIS way so now what?

Am I right? Wait, I would be you but you are me..did we get it right?

So I figure if I was you and you was me, we would have changed bodies and you would be I and me would become you and it would then turn to me asking the question so think about this imagine if i was you and you was me would I be anymore confused?

~MindFucked for the last hour..Did I do good, I think I'm still lost?

it depends on what you mean. do you mean you and i switch places in every respect - every atom of our bodies, every thought, every memory? in that case, if i were you and you were me, nothing would change. what makes you, you?

if you mean we switch bodies, that's rather mundane and is the stuff of movies.

exactly. were i to become you in every way, such that we were indiscernible, then i would be you, not me (i.e. for objects such as people i subscribe to the identity of indiscernibles principle). and attaching any other label would be just that, a label.

i suspect the OP means if we were subjected to the exact same environemental stimulus as them, we'd be like/act like them. which if we WERE them, is trivial. if we were oursevles in their shoes, i doubt we would turn out exactly as they did, or at least if this would obviously be the case, we wouldn't have a long running nature/nurture debate....

There is only one of us here at all times. "Strangers passing in the street by chance two seperate glances meet, and I am you and what I see is me." - Echoes, Pink Floyd

Yes if you were exactly me and i was exactly you. everyone gets mad someone is a certain way but thats just how they are supposed to be

so we shouldn't try to improve ourselves? that's just who we are?

we shouldn't want to destroy the person who raped our friend or killed our child? that's just who he is - imagine you were him?

you willi improve yourself if you are supposed to if not then no you should want to destroy the person who raped your friend but still remember thats how they were supposed to be that way NOT EVERYONE CAN BE ALL GUM DROPS AND BUTTONS it just cant.

Just rememeber it may be their fault but thinking about it it really isnt cuz thats just how they were made to be

good that means you can take my upcoming tests for me. this isn't who it would be if it wasn't who it is.

If I was you and you was me then the universe wouldn't exist because matter and energy would cease to exist and there would be nothing but a vacuum of space, not even an atom of anything..

i think in order for people not to get mad about choices you make, they need to imagine that they would, in the same conditions, make the same choices AS THEMSELVES, not as you. because they're not you, and if they were precisely you (and hence not really they), the fact that they'd have done the same is trivial.
