Rolling tomorrow 10pm - 8am Black Light Party... I want to avoid a nasty comedown!

I've rolled before, maybe a dozen times, first time was October of 2005. I usually roll 2 - 3 times a year, lately I've been thinking of hanging up my dancing shoes. I'm going to be 28 soon, and it seems like the responsible thing to do.

For some reason, I am really terrified of having a nasty comedown this time. Maybe that comes with age... I plan on dropping, 2 maybe 3 times tomorrow if needed.

The first drop would be around 10:30pm, and another around 1am. I am hoping I won't need to drop my third because I don't want to feel with that awful drained feeling the day(s) after.

I plan on eating well (Chicken, Tuna, Bananas, Gatorade) and exercising the day after (hopefully). I typically go to the gym 4 - 5 times a week and always jog for 30 mins on days I don't hit the weights.

I know my pills are pretty clean and from a very trusted source. Is all this worrying for nothing?
 
Well first of all, you need to test your pills. Just because your friend says it good, probably means its pipes in this day and age.

Secondly, you cant roll for 12 hours and not have a bad comedown... I would choose a time where you want to roll THE MOST, and dose accordingly. Try to keep the number of redoses below 3, because the more you take the worse it is for you. Also, I wouldnt redose over 2 hours after the first dose, because thats usually just a waste IME

But you seem to hardly ever roll, as long as you dont do anything stupid, and keep the # of pills your taking relatively low, you shouldnt have a problem with comedowns


but fuck what happens after, do it proper and have a great last roll! :)

Thanks for the reply. I definitely don't plan on doing anything stupid, just dancing and enjoying the sights and sounds of the night. Then heading home probably just before the sun comes up. It's always easier to get some shut eye before the sun is completely up.

I'd stick to water rather than gatorade. Gatorade really isn't that great for you..

And mindset is a huge factor. If you go into it afraid of the comedown, instead of excited for the awesome experience ahead, is your head really in the right place? Not saying you shouldn't think about the consequences, but you seem overly worried. I've rolled over 20 times, and I just found MDMA a year and a half ago. I now know to respect it, as it seems you also do. Ergo, you should have no reason to 'hang up your dancing shoes'; there's several posters on here over 40 who still enjoy MDMA.


If there's any whole foods markets around you perhaps you could pop in for some harm reduction supplements. EGCG and the like.
 
Thanks Cryptix, I'm not sure why I am so up in my head about it. I think it's because I treat rolling like a vacation. A couple times a year. Thus, I want each time to feel incredibly special. Only once did I have a stale roll, and that was likely because either I rolled two months prior, or the pills just weren't that great.

I'm just going to relax, and let the evening soak in. Roll with the vibes, and relax. I have 5-HTP for afterward and Vitamin C and Fish oil Omega 3 as well.

Will take your advice and stick to H2o as well.

and the 5-htp....i'd recommend just dumping that in the trash. i'm not sure if it's 100% fact, but I have seen studies on it being possibly cardiotoxic. In theory, you take the 5-htp and your brain's serotonin levels are boosted. What really happens is enzymes all throughout your blood stream convert the 5htp to serotonin before it ever reaches the brain, resulting in less than 2% actually reaching the brain. A lot of serotonin where you don't really want it....I had some breathing problems & anxiety when I took 5htp. imo stick to tryptophan or even better lean protein like tuna, etc.

vit c and omega 3's are the sheit though, love em.
 
whooppssiieess I put "you can roll for 12 hours", not you can't, my bad there haha...

doing something stupid is doing something like popping pills all night, a full on roll can only last like 6-7 hours, after that your still "high" on the MDMA but the empathy and is mostly gone and youll pretty much just feel cracked out


personally, I would just pick like 6 hours of the event that you want to roll the hardest for, double drop about a half hour before you want it to come on, and then take one more an hour later and another a half hour or hour later if you want


but of course this is assuming what you have is MDMA...



oh and L-tryptophan is much better than 5-HTP
 
Had never heard of it, but just looked it up and I'm definitely finding some for my next roll.
 
MDA+MDMA. Only way to have an awesome/LONG roll. Don't worry about the time, don't have any expectations or your roll will be shit -- those were the best rolls I've ever had. The worst, when I had expectations on how my roll needs to be. Just take it and have a good time. Just allow the magic to work on It's own.
 
Thanks so much everyone. Gonna pick up some coconut water today. Just gonna relax and let it ride. Being that my use is so infrequent, it's easy to get too excited about doing it, then placing expectations as you said. Just gonna relax and have a great night.
