Codeine and CWE Megathread - The long awaited!

Yeah I love tramadol.


My very cloudy CWE evaporated to around 1.5 grams on 1.5 grams of codeine which means there is a less than 1:1 ration, more like 2:1 codeine:panadol so a cloudy CWE is still going to be fairly safe
 
Tramadol is like a really weak opiate prescribed for joint/arthritis type pain right? Mate at work has it regularly but he painted it in such a way that I had no interest in even asking him to hook me up with any.

The fat chick with endone prescription though.... now thats a different matter.

Yeah tramadol with codeine is OK. I've had a couple of good experiences with that. By itself I can't stand it. Admittedly, in Thailand I went through a gram of it in one night and I sure did regret that the next few days.

Basically, yes. It is a weak opioid, the liver converts it to an opioid that's somewhat stronger but still not that great. It also has effects on serotonin, norepinephrine, NMDA, nicotinic receptors, muscarinic receptors... seemingly a bit of everything but the current thinking is that it's analgesic effects are mainly due to effects on serotonin, norepinephrine and the mu opioid receptor.

As for joint/arthritis pain... it certainly wouldn't be a first line treatment. Osteoarthritis related pain is usually first treated with paracetamol along with efforts to help the patient to lose weight. Rheumatoid arthritis is usually treated with NSAIDS, due to the nature of the condition, though I suppose if the pain was bad enough stronger options would be considered.
 
So anyone disagree with me that this brand is the worst as far as getting a nice clear solution at the end of it?

Yes these mix quite well, and is relivant to CWE as its kinda a potentiatior, as to pinkangas photo ive never even seen that brand before!! did it maybe come from a bulk chemist or something? Im stil gonna stick with the 15 /500 mg ones but ur results speak for themselfs in ur weaker brands!!
 
^ I see that brand all the time in various chemists, often independents who have made deals to become part-franchises.

The 15/500 are a rip-off, at least with my tolerance I did the math today, and I've been using 2940mg of codeine a weak. :\
 
^ fuck bro thats chronic, why not harder op8s if you dont mind me asking... the constant CWE process must be agruius, I dunno how you do it hey. (of course im not meaning to be critical or judgemental so pls dont take it as that.) Ur a cool mod Blonde, but i worry somewhat for your liver.

Yeah it is a fucked process involving multiple glasses and filtrations and made even worse if I have those dreaded CO tabsules. I'd love to switch to harder opioids because I would probaly end up saving money given that I only use once a week, twice at the most. The Brisbane opioid scene is fucked though. If I'm lucky a friend might throw me some oxycodone or morphine (hasn't happened for a while) and the heroin scene here is pretty fucking bad. At least sometimes I get a couple boxes of Panadeine Forte which helps. I almost want to post my stash up on BL because I'm pretty proud of it right now. :)

I too worry for my liver and have had tests twice, once when my use was daily but at a much lower dose and once when I was using a lot heavier. Both times turned out OK, but who knows what's going on in there. :\

Yeah, the boxes will often have a "made for" thing on the front, and that's where the independent puts their own shop name sticker. I just tried the ibuprofen version of that. The worst tablets for trying to dissolve. Even left in hot water, they don't want to dissolve by themselves fully. had to crush as well.
 
So I fucked and had 120mg dxm before codeine (about 760mg tonite).... it just occurred to me that the usual dose people go for when potentiating codeine is about 30mg right? I kinda mixed that up in my head (only had 4hrs sleep last night and just a little stressed in general due to uni exams).

Anyway for about an hour or so I was in a weird place man. Kinda ruined the codeine entirely I think. I guess Im feeling pretty good now (and lucky I have some lorazepam and diazepam for later) but damn. That was just way too much. Too nutty.

The crazy thing is, although its been a while, I have been through dxm periods where I Id do half a bottle or a full bottle and get fucked up, so Im surprised just 120mg was able to hit me like that. Must have been something to do with the codeine and my having fuck all sleep last night so I was already feeling in a semi-scattered headspace.
 
Ive been in a similar situation. I know how u feel. If I have any more than 30mg i start to feel weird, sort of a dissociation feeling. Had a very similar combo like urs tonite except way less DXM but added sum buds:) Feelin a little floaty may I add:) I find it really does hit u hard if u have it on an empty stomach (Plus munchies are nice after). I think u dosed a bit too much DXM.

I reckon the potentiation works both ways. I've had pupils as big as saucers with 30ml of DX. The opposite of what one would expect when combined with a large quantity of codeine. I doubt anyone has ever got enlarged pupils from 90mgl DXM alone, before.

True enough, but taking 30ml of robo DX instead of 10ml standard dose
and feeling a bit odd with fully expanded pupils I'd assume is unusual for most.
It doesn't happen to me, except when combined with codeine and hence why maybe
the codeine/dxm potentiation works both ways or maybe [controversial] the potentiation is
of the the dxm only, but the synergy between the 2 makes the codeine feel better.
 
All this codeine talk is making me want to go grab a pack of pan and use the rest of my forte's and DXM and get a buzz cranking tonight..


Gotta go see my mrs dad though as he had open heart at like 11am this morning.. Don't know if it would be wise to roll up pinned as a mofo .. haha
 
I tried taking codeine a few times, haven't touched it in a few years now though.

First time I died, i did a CWE on 60mg codeine. Didn't feel anything from it
so a week later I tried 100mg codeine from a CWE. Felt a very very mild relaxation
So 2 weeks later I CWE 200mg codeine, again it was a mild relaxation but now my mouth was incredibly dry.

then a month after that I decided to go for 480mg dose from a CWE. This time I felt something but it was not pleasant. I kind of just laid on the couch but just felt spaced out and had to keep drinking water. which lasted for about 4 hours but felt no good effects what so ever?

at the time of all these attempts i was using Heron Gold which was 12.3mg per pill I think it was? don't think heron gold have codeine in them anymore.

Just curious what was going on. I'm pretty sure my coldwater extract was fine- usually had clear or a tiny amount of cloudyness in the glass. I have never used any other opiets before so I dont know what I was meant to be feeling apart from what I've read online.

I heard that DXM is metabolised by the same enzyme as codeine, if it helps, i tried DXM once (300mg from cough syrup) and that gave me extremely messed up vision and co-ordination for about 4-5days after where i couldn't even walk straight for a few days. if that info helps at all?
 
I def agree with the dxm potentiation thing. I rarely use dxm as a potentiator nowadays, just because I tend to feel the dxm over the codeine, even at low doses (90mg or even less). It's not at the level of tripping on the dx or anything, it just gives this weird, anxious edge to the opiate high. When I 'nod' on dxm and codeine, it's not the usual relaxed opiate nod but feels almost feverish, like when you're half asleep but get stuck in a dream loop over and over.
