Finger rigidity while tripping?

Alright, so this might be a completely weird question and forgive me for it. But I've noticed the past few times I've tripped on LSD (and when I took Adderall too actually) that my fingers get stiff and rigid. Like the muscles in it are contracted and I can't really move them without trying and concentrating and forcefully moving my fingers around, and even then I find it difficult to do. It's like if you hold your hand out, fingers together, all gently bent, yet they get stuck like that... I'm sorry it's kind of hard to describe, but I was wondering if this is just some strange thing and my body is reacting to some drugs like this? I've tried looking it up various times to see if anyone else has mentioned this happening, but haven't had any luck. It's not like this is debilitating and ruins my trips or anything, just kind of gets in the way sometimes when I'm trying to grab things or use my phone or whatnot. It doesn't last the entire time either, just comes in random increments and I notice I can't move my fingers and I get annoyed. I've asked a bunch of my friends and no one could offer me any reasoning as to why this happens. So... if anyone could offer some sort of explanation to this, I would be glad to hear it! hmmmm, sometimes when im tripping it feels like my hands sudenly get fatter in a way. where theres too much flesh to really move them like normal. it mught just be all in ur head. at least thats what I assume from my experience.
 
My fingers get that way somewhat when I trip. Not to the extent that you are describing but my fingers do feel strange especially on 2C-D. Playing guitar and bass is somewhat altered it seems.
 
I'm not sure if it's similar, but I can never seem to lie still and find a comfortable body position when I'm on psychedelics - I've noticed it on shrooms and acid so far.
 
I only got that on methlyphenidate, fingers were mashing the keyboard as 1000000km/h and were cramping.
Fingers were fucked for a few days.

well i've got some delicious infomation for you. first i think cramping from LSD is caused by degraded product or poor synthesis. i had some bad finger cramping on some acid i had recently and it did worry me

here's a picture of Hofmann this reminded me of and his fingers looked pretty cramped up ricket-like [!!!]

there's also a lady called Krystle Cole (the neurosoup girl on youtube) and she use to date this LSD chemist; she has sampled fresh batches LSD thus making her a good source of first hand infomation on this matter, and in one video i saw she said she tried street LSD since then and she had overwhelming muscle tension all over.

but that's pretty much all i got, and all the above posts say people are getting cramps on other substances ??? i've heard of "random tensions of muscles" on 2c-e so that may extend to the other 2Cs but other then that i am unsure

funnily, i have mild cramping in my arms, but that was the weights

My fingers get all tight feeling and want to curl up into a fist when I do 2C-D.. It's kind of like how MDMA makes your jaw clench, but it makes your fists clench. And other weird muscles. Annoying when you're trying to sleep.
 
I have this with L sometimes. It'll take a ton of effort to open my fists, and it will hurt. To keep my fingers extended I'll have to plant my open hands down on a flat surface or else they will contract into tight fists again. Moving my fingers around will be difficult, and the whole time I'll have some degree of pins and needles in my affected hands and fingers. This effect sucks. I am almost positive that this happens because of old and/or degraded L.

Can you please name this impurity that you have discovered? Presumably it would have to be able to cause muscle cramps in dosage ranges of 1-10μg and be invisible to GC/MS analysis as it hasn't been found as an fraction of street LSD so far.

Also you contradict your own theory. Presumably Hoffman was conducting high quality synthesis of LSD and storing it properly, so why would his fingers be fucked?

OP: 5HT2a receptor agonists like LSD cause vasoconstriction in the extremities. Hence stiff fingers.
