Im prescribed 1mg klonopin a day and 60mg temazepam but I keep hearing about people being on 3-8mg of klonopin a day and im wondering is my doctor just not prescribing enough or am I missing something because I have a fairly large benzo tolerance but i definatly dont see my doc prescribing me that much klonopin.

You don't want to be prescribed that high of a dose of klonopin. For most people, that only means that they will have a longer taper when they come off of it. If you are able to get an alright night of sleep, and can function in society right now, there is no need to increase your dosage of klonopin. Basically, I can tell by the wording of your post that you don't need any higher of a dose.
3-8 mgs is a lot. I would say that 3-4mgs is the highest daily dose that doctors would feel comfortable prescribing someone. Doses above that are reserved for more extreme cases.

I'm.one of those prescribed 8mg of.klonopin a day imho its not worth it soon ur benzo tolerance will.be incredible to the point of.being not able to.feel. them.at all. Plus now I get seizures from skipping one day, grand.mals, so.

Well, I hear of people being prescribed very high doses of Klonipin, and my guess is either they have a very large tolerance and need that dose, or are quite sedated. 1 mg Klonipin a day is kind of low if you say you have a large benzo tolerance, but I don't know exactly what that tolerance is. How do you feel on your current regimen of benzos?

Doctors have different opinions on benzodiazepine prescribing. Some believe in the efficacy, some are scared of the addiction risks (which are quite large IME.)
Don't push your doctor for more pills, you risking being cut off completely by pushing the issue.
In my opinion you should be grateful for what you are already being prescribed. If you are unhappy with your current doctors opinions and prescribing practices, switch doctors.
