That's so true. and that just happened. It's strange how t-shirt filtering can prevent coffee filters working properly. The liquid in cup so obviously has solids in suspension causing the whiteness... just don't understand how it gets through the filter due to pre-t-shirt filter, yet if put straight into the filter would come out clear, though the wait would be longer.

I've said before. I think the paracetamol/ibuprofen/fillers that are in the tablets can actually become part of the filter and depending on the tablet brand used, integral to the process. for the prelim t-shirt filtering there's not enough white gunk there for the amount of tablets used, but when i put it through coffee filter afterwards, pretty much nothing extra is filtered, it just all flows straight through, so by my reckoning it's too dangerous to drink.
 
We all have a system and for me the shirt-coffee filter routine has worked the best, consistently. After squeezing through a shirt I still have shit loads of gunk to dispose of. THe liquid that filtered through the shirt is usually pretty cloudy but a nice wet medium size coffee filter on a clear plastic maccas cup does the job. It the original product was pan extra (15/500) or fortes (30/500) the solution will be crystal clear.

If I started with a chem brand box of 400 10/500s Ill do my shirt-coffee filter process twice. 20 pills through each one. Ive often had close as youre gonna get to clear solution with these. Most of the time its a somewhat clear liquid that lets you see through it easy enough (ie. putting a couple fingers on one side of the glass lets you see them on the other side of the glass). There are however some suspended solids that Ive learnt to accept.Theyre so fine that I seriously doubt that if they were added together would get anywhere near 500mg paracetemol.

^can agree there, the fingers on the glass is a good test, i used to knock down slightly cloudy extracts upon the reasoning that it was just binders and my liver function tests always have come back ok, as long as the main load of gunk is not there and cold water is used, i wouldnt think it to be all that harmfull. I think im just a bit anal on CWE these days.:)

Yo J_P, keep us posted brother on how it all went. Tbh I have thought about doing a proper CWE/evap but haven't yet (probably due to laziness more then anything! Lol).

I'm with ya there. I just cloth filter nowadays as I would estimate that the resulting solution wouldnt contain more then ~500-1000mg paracetamol. However[\b], on the subject of HR, it is best to filter as much unwanted/harmful ingredient as possible![\b]. :)
 
It comes down to time. So plan ahead... if its not possible its not possible... but if you can, on the day before you want to drink the codeine at least get the pills in water and stirred up nicely. Then do the wet shirt filter step. If youre feeling lazy you could leave it there, because at least this is (IMO anyway) the most annoying part of the whole process (squeezing the shirt filter out to get all remaining liquid is just sometimes the last thing in the world I wanna do).

So once thats done just wet a coffee filter and put in on suitable container (those clear maccas cups they use for shakes etc are great, large size is best... they wont smash on the bathroom floor when youre being lazy ;) , and they store easily and inconspicuously in the bathroom sink cupboard next to your shaving cream), then slowly pour the liquid into the filter so none of the filtery joiny bits dont break from the sudden force associated with the liquid surge.

So if the original product was either a 15/500 or 30/500 product the liquid goes through the coffee filter so quick anyway. But some of the others dont like to play ball and Ive found myself many a time with a sharp pointy knife out and pricking the corner of the filter. Obviously, while this gets the remaining liquid through quicker you do get a slightly more cloudy solution. Absolutely drinkable jut not ideal. But if you can leave that filtering over night (ie. you arent in hurry to use it... because youre keeping your grip on reality and planning ahead... junkies dont plan ahead so you musnt be one!!), then even gluggy chem brands will end up as a 90-95% clear solution.

Then stow away out of sight until you need it the next day. Assuming youre coming home from work or whatever, the sense of relief knowing in that your little science experiment is complete and ready to go is just too awesome sometimes.

haha yeah me too. My plan was always just to sacrifice 10 pills out of a 40 chem brand box and sacrifice 100mg to try an evaporation. Never really got around to it though.
 
I did it because if I tried to drink the liquid I woulda thrown it up straight away. Was meant to help with morphine withdrawals (very minor ones) but it was probably a bit late into it to buy codeine and wait three days, I'm fine now.

Hopefully get time to buy a razor blade in the next few days to scrape it up
 
Must add that my prefrence is to leave my CWE in the fridge, probbly makes the process slower, but keeping the temp down low is a must for me. But as stated before im just very anal about doin my CWE these days. couldnt be fucked doin an extract today just had my 150 mg straight out of the panadene forte box today, Also found codiene to work hella well with tramadol, a nice synergy IMO but again needs a script:p Doxcilymine OTC is ok but rarley nessacry for me as im not really too hooked up on it like to have good t- breaks from it, coming off regular use of it and the pod/ seed tea a few yrs back taught me a valuble lesson.. It's fucking horrible to come off dont ever wanna have to repeat that again.

I also always use a motar and pestle to grind thoughrouly, tollerence isnt shit compared to a few years ago when i was on poppyseeds & pods... cold water out of the fridge with a few ice cubes in it is also a must for me.

Tried evaporating it once but used an oven @ 80 degrees celcius... think i fucked it though coz the little powder i scraped outta the dish did nothing. I guess patience is key with evaporation

This is a typical result I get using the chem/generic brand 10/500 packs...

Just doing it in 2 lots of 20 in separate extractions. Shirt first (after this its cloudy as fuck).... then coffee filter. The slight brown discolouration in the liquid is due to my plastic maccas cups that I use for the coffee filter step being a little dirty. I need to wash em out or throw em out.

Note (if you will) the filter on the left has a slight vaginal quality to its appearance. (I save that one for later).

Anyway, my point being that you can indeed get nice clear solutions from generic brands if you take your time.
 
^ thats a fucking awesome result for weaker tabs!!!! I must just need more refined methods and patience if im eva usin the weaker brands... lol @ the vaginal filter:D thats my first giggle for the day. you are a CWE wizzzard pinkanga ;)
 
Heh, that makes me feel like I need to make mine a bit better. It's always cloudy as fuck, but my liver function tests have always come back fine so I'm not too concerned for now.
 
That is a pretty impressive result Pinkanga, its weird out of the hundreds of extractions I have performed when I do a shirt filter first (always) the coffee filters seem to actually catch very little material where in your photo they have got quite a lot. I get fairly clear solutions on average but I wouldn't say that my typical result using 10/500 generic tabs is noticeably more cloudy than yours.
 
Admittedly that is about as good as Ill get with generic brands. It depends on the brand really. I do often follow the exact same procedure and get a somewhat cloudy solution. Certain brands just seem to result in a cloudy solution regardless of how anal you are.
 
I used to rate tramadol and diazepam taken an hour or so before a CWE as probably the best drug combo ever. I reckon 90% of my best nods or more were on that combo <3 Awesome times...
