Sensitive after Mephedrone?

Ive been doing Mephedrone on and off since mid 09. mainly every other weekend, sometimes every weekend, between 500mg/1g. i got the usual physical side effects etc. vasoconstriction, heart palps. used to get fucking awful come downs from the amazing pre-ban stuff. i cut down a lot recently because most of it now is rubbish, and probably isnt even mephedrone at all.

Anyway, ive noticed for aprox the past 6 months, ever since doing Mephedrone ive become very sensitive to mild things like caffeine. i hardly ever used to feel stimulated or feel much at all from it, now when i drink a cup of coffee i can feel the stimulating properties, my mind thoughts flow, i get heart palps, if i drink enough of it i can feel the blood pulsating in my hands (from BP increase i assume) my knuckles go a bit red, ive noticed numbness etc. few people have commented on the fact that when im out drinking alcohol, if i combine a simple energy drink, or 2, with vodka or something, once ive necked it i actually look wide eyed like ive taken a strong stimulant, and i feel very overly stimulated for a short while. lots of desire to chat fast. sometimes i find the stimulation from coffee can mildly last for hours, i dont crash from it. is triggering hyper sensitivity common?? i drank coffee and energy drinks many years before ever touching a decent stimulant, usually around 5 cups a day, maybe more, and never never felt anything from them before
 
I smoke weed regularly once or twice a week, and used mephedrone less than 10 times in 14 months, between 500mg and 1.2g. I don't drink coffee, or colas, or energy drinks, or alcohol, but I can tell you that after the first session on the drone now every time I have a joint I feel a high very similar to the mephedrone one 8o, albeit more mellow of course.
Eye wiggles, rushes, euphoria, heightened music appreciation, the lot.
The closer to the meph session, the stronger the 'ghost' meph high. I'm not a biochemistry expert, but I've wondered if maybe the drone opens up certain neurological paths which never close down, that would also explain its high addiction potential and the irresistible urge to redose.

I think any stimulant usage is gonna do this. Same thing started happening to me after taking stims for a few years, it gets worse too.

Coffee = Panic attack in a cup.

This is probably due to extreme classical conditioning.. i got the same thing when i started taking MDMA.
 
Never got that with MDMA... and been taking it on and off for nearly two decades. Glad to hear it's not just me! Cheers

Do you also feel slight euphoria when this happens? Perhaps, because you've been using mephedrone so frequently for so long, your body is conditioned to expect a mephedrone high whenever you ingest a stimulant. Caffeine has a similar effect on the heart to mephedrone, so when the stimulant effects kick in you get a placebo mephedrone-like buzz in response to the mephedrone-like increase in BP and heart rate.
 
brilliant post, thanks =D yeah mate i do feel slight euphoria. kinda lifts me up a bit. digging up old feelings. must be what you said, a kind of placebo high. strange how our bodys work... infact just reading this makes me want a cuppa coffee. strange how we customize ourselves to things, molds us

I do think it's kinda cool how you've accidentally made caffeine considerably more euphoric. People are going to want to know what you're putting in your coffee 8)
