Heroin How long does heroin last if stored?

If it's cali black tar, not cut much at all. Wrapped up tight, sealed against moisture and left alone, how long would it keep its potency? Six months? Two years? When it does go bad, will it 'turn' all at once, or gradually lose strength? Any chance dangerous mold would grow on it? Thanks for any help

Tar already has a moisture content and other plant-based bits of the source opium that lend it to decomposition, so maybe a month or two at best. Moulds, fungi, or bacteria could all grow on it. It will generally gradually lose potency, faster if it gets wet and/or is exposed to acids/bases.

You can increase the shelf life by storing it in e.g. a freezer or at least a cold, dark place, preferably with drying agent.

Badd idea, thats a breeding pit for bacteria & other stuff you would definatly NOT want in your veins.

Oh and im pretty sure heroin breaks down in water btw.
