That's interesting. I wonder if its because of the programs it has for addicts.
 
^ Yep, heroin programs, and the Junkies Bond is very active, you event have a dealer's chart where it's written that he has to have quality products (heroin and coke, pr.) that he sells exclusively to a determined number of customers. Talk about luxury...

Certainly, but the legal status of weed and the general 'gedoogbeleid' also play a big part in this. Because no one is prosecuted with small quantities, occasional users are much less likely to come into contact with the really shady figures selling opiates.

Could you elaborate in this some more? I never heard of this, but it sounds really curious.
 
^ I heard about the Junkie Bond in the 90's and read an article in a newspaper which was stating all that: dutch heroin and cocaine dealers (not all of course, only the dealers selling to Nederlanders) have a chart of good conduct, stating their product must be of good quality and not overly expensive. They agree to this chart and have a group of identified (by the bond) customers.

That may be bullshit for all I know, I don't live in the NL and I don't do hard drugs. But I thought that might be interesting to remember here this old article. Maybe things have changed since, too. PS: it was in Rotterdam.
 
No chance of it happening before at least next year. And there's no chance it will happen at all in Amsterdam, as a lot of dutch laws apply only at the local level, ie. each municipality decides for their own laws.
 
Are any legal things - e.g. 4-fluoroamphetamine, which, correct me if wrong is legal in Holland - available in smart shops?
 
Anyone got any good clubs to recommend? I'll be going next weekend for the first time, will be planning on consuming MDMA hopefully but I have no idea where is good to go on a night out to dance. I'm generally into techno / house nights. Was also wondering about the different types of truffles? Is there any dangers of consuming them a day after / before ecstacy or cocaine?
 
RAUW, run by Joost Van Bellen, is great fun. It alternates between Amsterdam and Utrecht (which is close enough to do in a taxi) as far as I remember. Interesting venues, friendly crowd, good DJs, happy times. Not a superclub, more of a local thing with a fiercely devoted following, I think. And Joost has been round the block and knows how to make people have a good time. Music policy sounds about right.

You should be OK with the truffles afaik but if a night of coke / mdma has left you feeling a bit shitty I wouldn't put psyches into the mix and expect a good time. Some people would disagree.
 
Some truffles might be stronger than others, but claims that different strains have qualitatively different effects are bullshit imo. I'd just get some acid, but if you don't know anyone in town then go nuts for the shrooms (presuming you like your trips obviously).
 
Never actually tried acid so I wouldn't really know if somebody was ripping me off or not, whereas with the E it's more straightforward to know if they are decent or not beforehand with pill reports / testing. Like the idea of truffles though as they are legal! Oh how I envy the dutch... Will check out RAUW actually looks pretty good thanks.
 
^Ha, having tried it doesn't help you know if you're being ripped off, it's the easiest drug in the world to fake (bit of paper? drop of whisky? sugar cube?). Truffles are good, but you need to eat them slowly or you will puke your guts up.

Can anyone confirm that certain smart shops still sell mushies? The last time time I was there it was legal to buy mexican, thai mushies etc but the law has changed since

Are truffles much different to mexican the one the used to sell?
 
It's all psilocin and its esters, you can probably get mushies under the counter, but truffles will do you fine.
 
Was there before with the girlfriend for a quiet weekend. Did the coffeeshops thing but didnt try anything else. Im going over there soon, is it easy to score decent E's or MDMA over there? Some shady looking dudes walking around the side streets last time. Can you buy anything good in smart shops?

I've went through all the amsterdam smartshops and there are no shrooms to be found there, some smartshops elsewhere in Netherlands still sell chocolates with mush infused in them though...

And I agree with Vader, Netherlands has copious amounts of MDMA and quality presses. You don't even have to be afraid of meth bombs because that's mostly unknown in the lower countries (amph. sulphate is already such a devil ; )
 
No, I was saying that the effects of truffles and mushrooms are much of a muchness.

These "mushroom chocolates"... to me, it seems likely that they're infused with some 4-subbed tryptamine RC rather than actual mushroom extract. Got nothing to back that up, just a hunch.
