Stimulants Saftey of Dexedrine vs Adderall

I was wondering if dexadrine may be safer to take in high doses compared to adderall. Ive experimented with adderall alot in the past but ive only tried dex. a few times and when i got it I could get no more then 20 mg's at a time. Now I have access to as much as I want wich led me to try taking higher doses seeing that I really enjoy the effects of a strong amphetamine high. I realized when taking the dex there is little to no physical side effects like adderall gives me (jittery, anxious, racing heart ect.). I figure if amphetamines are going to do any damage to your organs , mainly your heart, then the less feeling i have of a speedy heart obviously makes it healthier than if my heart was speeding out of control like on high doses of adderall. So if im used to taking 100mg's of adderall in a span of 7 hours with experience mild side effects (racing heart ect.), then if I took the same amount of dex I should feel even less of the side effects, correct? Ok, im done rambeling....hopefully this question makes some amount of sense haha thanks for anyone that can help out.
 
Dexedrine is just dextroamphetamine sulfate; adderall is a combination of amphetamine aspartate monohydrate, racemic amphetamine sulfate, dextroamphetamine saccharide, and dextroamphetamine sulfate. I would start at a small therapeutic, experimental dose if you are not used to taking it. I've personally noticed a point where taking more has more negative effects than positive, but you'll have to find this depending on your individual metabolism, stomach contents, and tolerance
 
Well i've taken it about 2 times in the past week so i feel like im used to the effects...except one weird thing i noticed was the yesterday when i took about 40mg's in total I was seeing hallucinations which I can only describe as meth hallucinations when your coming down. It looked like things were appearing and dissapearing in my peripheral vision towards the end of the night. I cant say its due to lack to sleep because prior to taking it I had slept a nice amount so I really don't know what to think of it. Has any one else ever had that happen?
 
Thanks to Barr XR I think I have puke lingring in my throat. Adderall isnt Hugely different than Dexedrine. I can sleep on both of them but usually easier on Dexedrine as its easier on mind and body...
 
I think Adderall would be safer. OVerall people seem enthused with dexedrine way to much around here... I wouldn't want to take enough amphetamine to start hallucinating... that doens't sound fun
 
Well i thought the same thing about the dexedrine from what i read it didnt have the levo amp that adderall contains so the sympathetic nervous system side effects would not be as pronounced. meaning less of a crash and mg for mg dexedrine was suppose to be better. ill tell you adderall is a 1000 times better for a buzz and high. true it may cause the heart increase and other effects. because it has more of an effect on your neuroepinephrine than dexedrine. and that extra effect is what gives adderall the extra kick. and as time goes on if you have benzo's on hand the side effects of the adderall will go away. dexedrine sucked for me the only thing good about it it didnt give you a headache that adderall does at times. but no euphoria and adderall x.r or i.r id say i.r all day.
 
adderall is hell on the comedown, probably due to the levo-amphet. component which is said to be more peripheral (side effects like your heart rate going up). dexedrine is just smooth and more mental stimulation.
 
yeah exactly i will agree with you on that. it is deff the levo- amp that causes them nasty effects, its like a 2 way street because it is also the levo amp that gives the adderall the extra euphoric kick. Thats what is missing out of the dexedrine. So do you want a more mental high or physical high? In my case since i need both meds and both work well for me for my adhd. Id prefer the adderall even though the comedown is bad at times. Your body adjust's to it and as long as you have benzo's on hand your fine. So since i have to take one ill stick with the one that causes a mental focus and a body high i mean who doesnt like to feel euphoric at the same time. No if i did not have anything to counteract the levo effects. Meaning no Benzo's i would deff. Stick with dexedrine. But since im prescribed xanax with my adderall you take a small dose of the xanax to counter the levo effects of the adderall. Your left with a combination of dexedrine and adderall together without the negative effects. you got to love xanax. At the same time it keeps your heart rate down and blood pressure/

They may not be classified as psychedelic drugs, because the one;s your thinking of are the illegal one's acid or mdma ect. if it all boils down to they most certainly are psychedelic in nature. Its the way the drugs effect the brain and body that give them there classifications. Either way they are still manufactured in a Lab. Adderall, And Dexedrine according to the wiki article and the pharma-logical action of them on the serotonin receptors and the binding action make them a potent 5ht 1 and 2 antagonist which as you know causes all the hallucinating effects that happen to us because of the flood and increase in the serotonin neurotransmitter No givin the fact its not as powerful as Lsd and or Mdma becauses its focuses on dopamine and neuro-epin. as well. It still shows and is known to causes hallucinations as well as psychotic and schizophrenic symptoms at even prescribed doses thats why. Serotonin syndrome is a big worry when these meds are combined with an ssri. So i would have to disagree with you even as a basic moderator. Because im going off of medically documented research on the action of these meds as well as the illegal ones.
 
My Point exactly these medicines most certainly do cause psychedelic effects, so they are psychedelic just because the dea or fda didnt classify them as such they are

It makes perfect since your question. I thought the same thing and they say that for dexedrine for every 10mg's of adderall you take only take 50mg of dex. im like really cool. so i got a script of them i was getting 90 10mg addys. so i told my doc to sound reasonable. let me get 90 5mg dexedrine. cause the adderall sideeffects are crazy. Now The dexedrine sucked i mean literally was like taking candy im like where do they get this its 2x as strong as adderall. i figured it out, its more potent in terms of the increase in focus and on your serotonin receptors. But way less potent on your dopamine and levo effects. which is what adderall has that causes the body high. But then the negative effects. So if i was on 100mgs of addy like you 150mgs of dex i felt nothing. And i like the high of the adderall. Now its a 2 way street im not going to like the high if it constantly makes me jittery and makes my heart race ect. because your defeating the purpose how can you enjoy the effect if your worried about the damage it is doing. So its a must that you being like me get the same effect. Get a Benzo prescribed and take it with the adderall. either before or after. and during ect. intime you will find the perfect amount to combine together. Its great because the Benzo cancels out all of the negative effects of the adderall not 100% but like 90% So your left with nothing but the positive euphoria of the adderall, that the dex doesnt have but without the negative effects because of the benzo. Now depending on your tolerance and available meds i can give you advice since im going to school for psychology im doing plenty of research. im here for you

Dexedrine is much smoother than adderall, but still keeps my jaw active :\ the next day is easier to get thru after dex than addy. Adderall is more intense and makes you feel more like a superhero but dexedrine won't have your mind in a shitty place during the comedown like I've experienced a lot with Adderall.
