Opioids removing coating and disease

First of all, I want to say thanks. The bluelight community is well informed and has guided me many times during some of my misadventures. I know that my threads are usually quickly closed (probably from lack of pertinence), but your answers help me nonetheless.

Now on to my question... can a person contract HIV or hepatitis C from injecting a pill that has had its coating sucked off by another infected person?

I know it sounds like a silly question... but it seems to me like this situation is entirely possible.
 
While Saliva does not transport HIV itself, if the person has any kind of open sore in their mouth (mouth ulcer, bleeding gums, etc.), then yes it could have been transmitted. Same with Hep-C.

It's possible. Probable? I wouldn't know, but I'd assume so, as it isn't something you want to risk.
