Opioids What is the Diffrence in Opania40's And OC80's? Why does one doctor do one then other

I was just wondering why some doctors prefer Opania40's Vs OC80's
I have used both threw none recreational ways and i feel opania40s Crush OC80's
Is one better or do each pill react differently to each person?

they are both opioid perscription painkillers. orally, an OC 80 and an Opana 40 are pretty much equal. (OC of course being the chemical oxycodone time release 80mg while the Opana is the chemical oxymorphone) they have drastically different effects. OC is more of an upper more "with it" high. while oxymorphone is very heavy like morphine/dope and lasts way longer. IF YOU IV OXYMORPHONE, BE CAREFUL, 40mg of Opana is roughly 800 to 900mg of OC. Its heavy shit not made for people naive to opioid. I had a 800mg a day oxy habbit and half of an Opana was almost too much.

and the reason doctors prefer the Opana i would assume, is abuse factor of OC, and the fact that it is so stigmatized.(doesnt make any sense to me, as they pulled hydromorphone off the shelves in the US because it was too strong causing OD's, and replaced it with opana which is way stronger. although the hydromorphone issue i believe was because if you had any alcohol, it would destroy the time release. opana doesn't suffer from that same issue). it was still my understanding that doctors would prefer OC over a stronger narcotic untill you can handle it. there is a LOT of stigma against oxycodone in particular. but with the new OP uncrushable pills, i think it just comes down to preference. Opana uses the TIMERX (think thats right) system to stop people abusing pills.
 
honestly i think their is a much greater abuse potential for opana's to oc's anymore... if you think about it the new oc's straight suck. thos OP80's or whatever that are like clay if you try to break them up which you can't. you have to take them orally which if you are getting them for the soul purpose of abuse then the opana 40's will give you one hell of a more kick. Im an avid opiate user and I would take 20mg's of opana over 40mgs of oc or a roxy anyday. you have to remove the coating, well you dont have to but it helps allot and i advise to use a shaver... its a little rough getting it through the nose because it likes to tend to gell up but i would say an opana 40 is 100000X better than those shit op80's they sell now for oxy.... its just getting opana for the right price... atleast in my area, you usually pay the price for the efficency. but i would take the feelings/taste/high of an orginal OC80 anyday over any drug. i would pay DOUBLE the mg for it.
 
I currently am prescribed 140mg Opana, have had both and I prefer Opana. It's really the best for my pain. Have never IV, but have wanted to try - thanks for the info regarding this. I'm unsure of the amounts you put 40 Opana roughly 800 OC - chemically??
 
Regarding the part where you say that Opana not crushing up, Not True....been snorting them for over 3 years for back injuries. You just have to crush the coating as well, goes thru no prob. Actually, shortly after snorting, sinus passage clears thru! Prefer these over anything. I'd like to know what they're going for on the street though!

The way it was explained to me was like this; Each doctor has their own preferred medicines to prescribe for certain conditions. They will basically start each patient with the same symptoms on the same drug at first (dosage depends on severity obviously). If this medicine does not work for the patient, then the doctor will try something else. So certain doctors will almost always start patients with a herniated disk, for example, with a certain dose of oxycodone. If it doesn't work, then they will move onto their next preferred choice. Other doctors may start these people on opana, and switch them to oxycodone if it isn't working.

Are you using the IR or ER formulation? If it is the ER version, then read this:

Basically, Opana is 10x stronger than oxycodone (if you were to IV both) @ absolute bio-availability. But opana orally only has a 10% BA, so it really reigns it in. If you snort it, it is 400% stronger than eating it, and if you IV, it is 1000% stronger than eating it.

Real talk: this is some deadly shit. Be careful.
