The MDMA Discussion Thread

I don't think it would be a good idea for MDMA to be legalised. Legalising it may increase its use, because it will be seen as socially acceptable. People who do not use illicit drugs may decide to use it because it would no longer be illegal. People who do not currently use it may also begin to use it because it will be seen as less harmful, or even harmless, as a result of its legalisation.

Any time I think how great it would be for MDMA to be legalised for recreational use I remind myself of the types of people who's idea of a good time is trying to down more alcohol than their mates. Those twats would likely spoil things by taking too many for competition's sake and ending up needing medical assistance or worse.

But I still would love for MDMA to be legalised.

Dickheads on MDMA are much, much less annoying and violent to bump in to at clubs/festivals than dickheads full of booze!

Wonder if a pill testing booth could be set up at events? I know in NSW it isn't illegal to be in possession of the test kit, and testing for someone could not get you charged with supply/ possession. I was thinking along the lines of people come up to your booth with the scrapings, they pay for a test, place the scrapings on a white plate, you test, Bobs your uncle.

I doubt it mate.Owning and taking a drug is still a illigal offence.According to our government helping people test there drugs would be condoning drug use and for our do gooder government thats a big NO NO

if mdma was legal, so many ill-informed people would completely cook themselves. a drug that is so hard on the serotonin receptors really shouldnt be taken often at all, and i know plenty of my friends(including me for a while) who 3-4 years ago took pills 2, even 3 times a week. And asmuch as mdma isnt bad for you in moderation, doing it that much is far worse for you then getting drunk 2-3 times a week.

sure, the alcohol causes far more brain damage, and is much more likely to kill you. But i think if the pill scene didnt go shit, i'd have had a few friends whos receptors would be completely fucked, and on anti-depressants for the rest of their lives =/

All you have to do is look at societies with acceptance, i.e. The Netherlands.

Test fucking centers all over the place.

I know mate but our government dosnt seem to think like that :\ in there view ALL DRUGS ARE BAD and alachol and tobacco arnt "real drugs" what shits me off the most is they allow DMMA pills to be sold as MDMA substitutes in bong shops and people seem to think there safe becouse there legal and go popping tonnes of em and ending up in hospitable...........

With the company I work for, my boss and I investigated something like this. Without saying too much, it would have been a sort of mobile pillreports. As such, we could only give people info that had already been published, so it wouldn't have been as good as testing your bics there and then, but would still have been a useful HR resource for people at clubs/events. Even though we wouldn't have come into contact with illegal drugs at all, we weren't even able to get it off the ground, we were shut down right from the beginning and told point blank that it wasn't even an avenue we could consider. Disappointing.

Have you thought about starting your own testing business?

loads of smoking and loads of drinking. BUT DONT TOUCH DRUGS KIDS

my proposal is a system of drug licenses - kind of like drivers licenses but way harder to acquire. you have to pass a gruelling knowledge test to prove you can be responsible and you have to sit this test every year. the test asks questions about chemistry/neurology/pharmacology/psychology and especially safety and emergencies. you don't pass the test, you don't get to buy drugs. your license is also linked to an account and you can only buy what would be a safe amount for an average user per month. the money raised from legalising drugs could easily fund all the bureaucrats/teachers etc to operate the licensing/testing system. if you get caught abusing drugs or cheating the system or selling drugs on to someone else you lose your license. people wouldn't be in a hurry to risk losing their license. this system would also be a big encouragement for people to stay in school, problem junkies etc would be sitting around studying text books all day. alcohol etc could also be covered by a license, there's different classes of drug licenses ie amateur, full clearance, alcohol only, etc.

what do you guys think is this a stupid idea or is there something in this

ps: how do you get the originally posted by thing up

^ You can just press the quote button under the post you want, or if you just want to quote a section, copy that section, highlight it then wrap it in quote tags (furthest right button) then put the username with an = next to it -[ QUOTE]= lab slave[/QUOTE ] without spaces.

It's not something that I think would be possible. Investigating it last time, there seemed to be no way to get it approved and make it work...'Today Tonight' would be all over it :/

It would just get abused like the medical weed programs :\

^ That sounds like a dangerous combo in those pills... 4-MEC, MDPPP, PMMA and unknown substance. All those stimulants together, especially the potentially very risky PMMA could lead to problems very quickly.

Adelaide is doing quite well too which is good... Still would rather there be some 90mg+ MDMA pills going around...but it's still good that most are MDMA

omg vendors have no care for human life.Looks like there pushing out PMMA now.....I've personaly consumed this pill thinking it was butylone got little to none effects off it very glad i didint redose :\ and no i didnt order it i wouldnt bother with online vendors!

This is terrible to see. How the fuck are those even getting sold?! People need to be more aware of what chemicals are in legal highs before they purchase them. Very lucky you didn't redose JS!

Well the main difference is that it would be a lot harder to get hold of an mdma grade license, you don't simply have to be ill, you are obliged to work very hard. It probably wouldn't be worth going to that much effort just to get hold of a personal quantity of mdma. This is a system though that would take years to sketch out and finally implement decades from now. Drug wars etc aren't going to go away unless we do something radical and serious however and I think eventually mankind is going to be motivated to sit down and try and solve these problems.

Just like to share a little story mite help someone and a little advice would be good to.
My girlfirend and I had a mates party on the weekend had a few drinks got pretty happy and decided to head into a club later and drop some MDMA.

We dropped at about 10:30 and had an awsome nite as did everyone with us, everyone said we were just giving out the best vibes was good times.
Before we left though my missus had managed to down maybe 5 glasses of water without me noticing and when we got home we had a couple glasses before bed.
Now all is well until about 4 that morning and she got pretty sic spewed up a fair few times and had really bad tummy pains, hot and cold flushes that went on until the next day until I got here to drink some gatorade and she slowly got better.

I'm pretty sure this was because she drank so much water her sodium levels dropped to low. Does anyone have any input?
So yeah just a warning to others I knew this could happen but I didn't think it would happen so easily so just remember to keep your sodium levels up!!
