Dear Go Compare,

I would just like to inform you that your adverts give me a strange side-effect of wishing I had pins and needles - Not in my arms or legs, but in my eyes and ears.

Yours eternally ungrateful

Someone who wishes he had pins and needles in their eyes and ears.

Would you care to join me? They "welcome feedback" apparently.

haha. this makes me glad i have banned myself from watching tv. get para about the tv license ppl but watched it about twice last year so not shelling out for a license. but no tv = no adverts unless i watch 4od. woop woop.

but yes, i am pretty sure i'm not too lazy to copy and paste that into an email.

Every time a new Go Compare advert comes out it tricks me. I think wtf is going on then BAM fat man singing like a twat. The more complaints you send them the more they'll play it because their plan was to piss us off all along.

the new one is prob the worst yet, got some cavewomen with theyre furry tits and a horrible cg'ed mammoth i thought when you have a bigger budget you make better quality ads..

Is go compare the one with the meerkats? I fucking hate those...very sad to bastardise and use meerkats to sell us shiz.

Yeah tv is shit, I am so glad I stopped watching it now. I Haven't seen a tv advert for a few years now.

Uk ads are so stupid and annoying

You think UK ad's are bad? Have you ever seen the Irish ad's? Holy Crap, they are an embarrassment!!! Irish T.V. can't do anything properly! 8( The ad's are all done on the cheapest sets that are made out of cardboard, you can see the walls moving!!! They also use the most cringe worthy actors & tackyest crapyest jingles!!! A~AHHHH....!! They are awful!!!! They are like ad's out'a the 1980's! I ALWAYS turn the volume down when the ad's come on! Did you ever notice the way the T.V. channel turns its sound up when the ad's come on? GURrrrrr.....!!! Thats when i hit the mute button!!! :)

Drumming up a storm on the internet is exactly what they want. You're playing right into their hands.

The irritability factor of the Go Compare ad pales into insignificance against the 'webuyanycardotcom' one.

praise be for piracy rendering terrestrial TV and its continuous AD interruptions redundant.

It came from Google's 'Did you mean... ?' People were typing in Compare the Market, and was showing Compare the Meerkat; their marketing department just got their trademark icon for free.

Apologies for any mistakes, I am fucked, and can not read the screen for more than 1 second at a time.

The fuck am I apologising for, it's barely two sentences.

The Go Compare ad probably did start out supposedly to be "lols", then it stirred up such a shit storm, it worked out better. Their brand name is on your tongue. Job accomplished.

Fuck meerkats. I now hate them and all they stand for. If you could go hunting meerkats in Africa, I would sign up straight away.

But that's another annoying advert. For all those fans of 'Go Compare', DID YOU KNOW...

Wynne Evans (born 27 January 1972) is a Welsh tenor. Popularly known for his role as the tenor Gio Compario in the Gocompare.com insurance adverts on television in the United Kingdom, he sang, as Ubaldo Piangi, in the 25th Anniversary Celebration of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall. [1][2]

In 2010 Evans signed a 6 album deal with Warner Music; his first album is called 'A Song In My Heart' and was released on the 21st March 2011. The album went straight to No 1 in the classical album charts in the following week.[10]

but on a funnier 'note' -

just remembered that mazuma mobile ad, with the cunts dancing, that drove me mad too, i think ad's are getting increasingly annoying as it locks em in your head, you know theyve done well when you have 'go compare, go compare' going through your head at 3am..cunts

i kinda did too but if yer gunna use cartoon characters use em all not just the ones you can afford the licensing fee for ;) lol

Want to put my foot through the tv everytime this advert comes on.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJKc3gQGdjI

The first few times I saw that I cracked up like a window getting freaky with a spark plug end. RACING, SPACING, PURPLE, DUCK, CAPITAL ITALICS PERCENT SYMBOL, وانكآر.

The Fiat 500 ad with Alonso... I can't stop saying "I like going to de moovies".

i kinda did too but if yer gunna use cartoon characters use em all not just the ones you can afford the licensing fee for ;) lol
That's what I liked about it haha. Kinda عليل they didn't double rainbow it.

I assume you're using 'gay' as a derogatory term, rather than saying that anything that's not given the 'double rainbow' treatment is obviously heterosexual? :)

I'm don't wish to be deliberately picky, but the use of the word 'gay' in that context might be considered acceptable down the pub with your mates, but in here it's definitely not. Nothing personal, but it's potentially just a little offensive, whether it's (regrettably) fallen into common usage or not. It's still a sexual slur, ultimately.

Okay?

Back to annoying ads...
