Trainspotting was a tough decision lol, I just was not a huge fan though, it's a great movie and all, don't get me wrong but if my list went to 15, it would go-
11. "Alpha Dog" (Maybe should have even been in my top 10)
12. "Trainspotting"
13. "Dazed and Confused"
14. "Half Baked"
15. "New Jack City"

There's just so many good movies where drugs are a major plot point, it's really hard to choose a few favorites, I'm quite the TV junkie and idk of too many films in this category that I disliked.
I've also really gotten into a lot of HBO show's like "Oz" and "The Wire" after all the seasons were put on DVD, "Breaking Bad" also was like the best show on TV! Like I said, I'm a TV junkie, I love all these shows and movies so much.

Kinda fucked up lol. Just kidding, I've actually got a video of me smoking crack and shooting some dope but that's more because I really want to make a documentary on addiction, who better to film using then me and my friends.

I wannna put Requiem for a Dream on there, but I'm a total loser and haven't seen it, like most movies that exist!! :x
 
don't really have a favourite movie to watch while on drugs but a couple scenes come to mind:

opiates = the town (directors cut) where ben affleck get into an argument with his gf, goes to buy an 80, crushes + snorts it in some abandoned railcar, lol

psychs = the matrix (the scenes after neo takes the red pill and starts tripping out, holy balls that's intense)

honourable mention to 'the wolf on wall street' (seems like a 'coke' movie to me)


also, when will directors finally get that opiate use CONSTRICTS the pupils... requiem for a dream, layer cake... they both show the pupils dilating.... i guess movie audiences associate dilated pupils with being high on something?

Has anyone seen "Wasted"? It is a MTV movie about heroin and Plano, TX starring Aaron Paul. It is a decent propaganda movie that has some truisms.

Thanks for the recommendation Somnilicious, just found this film online, about to watch it in a bit.

Next Day- So I watched MTV's "Wasted" last night, not a bad film. I like Aaron Paul's roles, it was kind of funny, he played a really similar character to "Jessie" from breaking bad, in both, he played some drug addicted kid. All in all I liked the film, it was a bit of an anti drug film but it did a good job portraying the life of a teenager who's hooked on heroin. I got a bit of a stomach ache watching it though, it sort of reminded me of when I was shooting dope in high school and still lived at my mom's house.

Breaking Bad (may not be a movie, but fuck me, was this one of the best pieces of drug-centric stories ever told)

Pineapple Express (best stoner movie of all time IMHO)
 
Christiane F is great for the needle scenes; they are intense and beautiful. Anything intravenously appealing suits me as long as it's up close and easy to see.
