Who is your favorite drug addict(s) and/or user(s) of all time?

"It was a very difficult thing for me to see," he admits. "At that point in time, your father could become your whole identity, your source and strength. It really devastated me, and because of it, I found ways to periodically escape from that."'
I don't want to argue, because you obviously know more about him than me. But that quote doesn't sound like addiction to me. It sounds like "periodically" escaping through recreational drug use. But yeah, I never would have known, I figured him as a straight-edge type guy.

-I have a spiritual advisor I call up, when I just feel lost. Lately, I've been talking to God. I developed this dialogue in rehab, this dialogue with God, and every day I talk to God.

-Guilt is a weird thing to me. I don't have a lot of it.

Ahhhhh, you got me. Damn fine print does it every time.

No, it was altered to not exclude, but i think it should be addict(s) or PROLIFIC drug users, rite? and this post is not related, at, or in any way concerned with anybody choices.

I figured him as a straight-edge type guy.

I don't know about drug use but imo this cat is far from a "straight-edge type guy."

However you get there, as long as you see whats really going down..

I've heard nearly all of RATM's music. I love them. I've seen Tom Morello live. Nowhere in any RATM song do I recall a lyric that references drug use. It's all about questioning authority, thinking for yourself, power to the people, etc.

No, I guess I never had a true meaning of "strait edge" as well as its relation to punk, when people in the circles of my people used it I always thought it refereed to a person that promoted and stuck to societies expectations and norms, foremost drugs but adhering to others. I have been interpreting this wrong for a while, i guess, as it seems to pertain to a punk with no traditional vice, drugs, sex.. I had no idea Blind Melon.

Lyrics don't mention it because he is a reformed drug user

"It wasn't until Zack discovered hardcore punk that he began the effort to stay clean," began an effort to stay clean, addict or user.. maybe addict turned strait edge?

“And when you start using a lot of psychedelics, and particularly a lot of the natural psychedelics, my experience has been that I come in contact with some very old entities. And these entities have been around for a while, at least since humans first started experimenting with these plants.”

“Well, with all the experiences I have had, I would say the most disappointing ones are the ones when I have not taken enough.”

The only thing money gives you is the freedom of not worrying about money.

I know a man who gave up smoking, drinking, sex, and rich food. He was healthy right up to the day he killed himself.
