What's Good on European and African TV v. Walking the Dead

wtf is 'again'? .. yoyo/dan?

Ewan MacGregor/Charley Boorman on bikes, travelling (down the world/round the world)

Here

Read one of the books when I was away a few months ago. Then met someone who had met Charley Boorman doing a bike thing in Nepal and apparently he's a wuss who wants to spend as much time off the bike as possible. Disappointing. Coz he comes across as nice in the book, whereas Ewan comes across as a luvvie temperamental wanker.

I saw part of the first season I think.

generally i assume that anyone doing those kinda shows is a puppet tbh, so that doesnt surprise me.

did you see the show that had a pair of 'celeb' drivers driving through some of the most difficult roads across the globe?

the word celeb was a put off, but the show was really decent. scared the crap out of me. mariella frostfuck and that Jessica comedy darling tart ive
probably got the wrong name of each had a go. the reckless stupidity of the tv comedy bint made my blood boil, as she could've easily got her and her male counterpart killed. Seemed genuine in terms of risk. was also an eyeopener to the lengths locals have to go to in undeveloped regions, just to achieve sourcing basic supplies, or getting to paid employment (compared with our plush road systems)

Bits but I'm even more cynical than you and tend to think its all put on for the cameras. So I only half watched little bits really. I'm a sucker for worlds most dangerous roads (without celebs) and want to travel a few before I die (already done a couple).

http://www.dangerousroads.org/

That's one of my most favourite websites. I don't do macho or blokey car things. But I do do scenery and ridiculously dangerous roads. I love that website.

I will look at it tentatively. Im pretty fearless driving, i can do fog, but really slow the fuck down when it come to snow, but when the humber bridge is closed to high sided vehicles, and i go past a pillar and the car swerves due to the change in wind force, the rod in my anus does tend to make itself known. was on a double decker crossing it one day and watched in slow mo as the driver lunged grabbed the wheel with both hands after it was jerked from his grip in the wake of wind change at a pillar. I shit bricks going across it ever since. S'not so bad when Im at the helm, but putting my faith in other's road skills isnt an easy one for me

edit. driving in lush environments usually results in a few near misses wherever it is, cant help it. Full moons tend to equal a few clipped wing mirrors

Malvo from fargo.. Best hitman from any tv shows ive ever seen

will catch up on fargo eventually Dan, recon itll be my kind of thing. Will watch it ina marathon, which is often better for slowish moving plots. Same for True Detective, which Im pretty sure Ill love, despite not really getting into the first epidsode that i tried watching

Started the Whispers - strange one and can't really fathom out wtf is going on - upto episode number 5 and I'm still as confused as I was after number one.

Have you watched 'Penny Dreadful' yet? I think its my favorite tv show atm - Gothic / Horror type of thing but really nice. (Nothing like the Film of the same name).

Humans is another new one which I'm finding interesting (so many new shows going on at the moment).

I haven't watched vikings - I have season 1 and 2 saved to be watched but never got around to it.
tried one episode of penny ages ago but didnt pursue. will give it another whirl tho

vikings is really worth pursuing in a marathon if the mood catches you. keep it on your to do list, yo.

Also Wayward Pines. Check it if you havent already. bout seven episodes in. Matt Dillon, Juliet Lewis, Shannon Sossamon (sp?). Suburbs set in the future. Decent. Bit twin peaksy. Think youll like. Bit of a mystery for the
first few episodes but then all becomes clear. Not awesome, but plenty decent enough for filler.
^ you too Dan

I'm also wanting to explore Fargo and True Detective.

I tried watching an episode or two of True Detective and have never been so bored in my life.

Perhaps dissociatives are needed for that initial grip...

Yeah been watching that.

NSFW:
delete the future world turning to shit, unless you wanna spoil it, the mysterious build up to finding out whats going on was really interesting imo

will do Danielsan <3

Anyone watching the Met Police Show on BBC1, with the two Spanish street performers in Camden showing how to to get arrested with class?

I think Im in love.

After refusing to move on they resist arrest with muchos Fuck tha Police, youre all donkeys and liars, these are our streets ....yadda yadda ...but every protestation a key truth & no blather. What a sassy pair. Fuck having to have a licence.
(police: its the council's street! ... boys: its the people's street. liars!)

Think i remember hearing a news story that Oxford just introduced regs allowing them to fine and move on licenced street buskers or performers that werent actually smiling and being pleasant. Absolute reason enough not to get a licence alone.

I liked True Detective but Fargo was more gripping. Plus, dat accent.

I'm surprised to hear about Charley wanting to "spend as much time off the bike as possible". Perhaps he's got too fat to get a leg over it nowadays.

There was a definite change in the pair from the first series to the second. The first seemed quite genuine and was really enjoyable to watch - it inspired me to get my motorbike licence and buy the type of bike I have - but the second series was a huge let down. Too much complaining and Ewan's wife butting in to join them was fucking annoying.

Thought the second series was alright, agreed having her join them was annoying, and charly seemed pissed off having her join them as well

Been watching BBC Parliament on and off all day inbetwixt gardening, as a cure for horniness.

English votes for English laws. Now I know why Ive never seen any HofC porn. Not one doable one amongst em

Gonna start gnawing my own arm in a minute. urgh. Or work off some energy by using power tools.

Meh, garden renovations it is then. Time to build stuff.

2nd True Detective is really disappointing me. Shit script, poor acting.. I like the girl though.

Ms Mermarz - BBC Parliament is edited, try channel 131 Live House of Commons.

Always worth checking al jazerra and if you can get it, russian tv. To get a wider perspective. The BBC really let us Scots down in the independence referendum - be mindful of media owners / agenda.

Z nation ? Nobody has ever mentioned it and I'm waiting for season 2.

I have the first lot of The Sindicate on record here that I've never watched. Are they worth watching?
