Television What tv shows died that you wish would come back?

I am truly amazed that there's anyone left who is fooled that they're actually being filmed for an addiction documentary and not intervention.

Me too! Some of them do mention how they "better not be on Intervention". A lot of them are homeless or so into their addiction they don't have the state of mind, maybe. I think a decent percentage do know they're on Intervention and just want the help.

Well, I think the third season was a bit confused and fragmented, but maybe that's due to them trying to bring the series to a close.
But the first two were really good.

Yeah, they had three whole seasons of story-arch and then suddenly had to scrap that and try and conclude the show in just one.

Oh, I loved The Nick. Pissed there were only two seasons, especially when season 2 ended with a bunch of cliff-hangers.
Yep The Knick was great.

I'm mostly bummed out about Carnivale, there were supposed to be 6 seasons with 10+ episodes each, but HBO must've decided it was too good to be true or something so they cancelled. Would've been one of the best shows ever, even though it probably still is now.

I don't know what happened to TV man, a few years back everybody was raving about how TV was in its golden years. But it has gone so downhill, Netflix releasing tons, and I really do mean tons of very mediocre series, HBO saying that they want to go for more quantity than quality etc....
Golden years... fuck that man, golden year was like 2004 or something. HBO was of the charts back then, The Wire, Deadwood, Carnivale, Six Feet Under, The Sopranos, all in one year. Some others as well, The West Wing, Curb your enthusiasm, and I'm probably forgetting some classics.

Mads Mikkelsen,Lawrence Fishburne,Gillian Anderson,Eddie Izzard and so many more.Better than the films in my opinion.
Man, it was so good. Great acting, perfectly written, and visually it was one of the best I had ever seen, with the food and all... I miss me some Hannibal

The French version is excellent and got two seasons, although the first one is much better.

Oh yes, haven't watched the second season, but the first was brilliant. The Mogwai soundtrack was really fitting and excellent, too!

Did you watch the movie they released recently? It was excellent

Ehm, what????!!
Excuse me, gotta swap to google...

Not 2004, but just a year later Rome started on HBO... :)
Love that series.

Netflix really is garbage this past year or two. I can't stand 90% of their original series. The acting is sooooooo fucking bad. The plots are so fucking bad. The demand for 'diversity' is so fucking weird and unnecessary. I'm pretty close to cancelling my subscription and going back to piracy so I can watch shows that came out before 2018.

Nah, I'm too used to HD now. :)

I'm one of those 'born in the wrong generation' types. I've been watching a 1980s period piece about British rule of India lately and I could not care less that it's letter-boxed and isn't HD.

The only HD I care about is in porn

Yeah well, those older pieces still have a certain charm in their blurriness :)
But watching, dunno, Avatar or Interstellar or something, in which the visual impressiveness is clearly part of the movies intended impact, in 240p just fucks me up now.
Couldn't care less about the visually remastered Charlie Chaplin movies or something :)

Well, yeah, me too. Why wouldn't it be in HD?
