The Big & Dandy 'Nausea and Psychedelics' Thread

Selective 5-HT3 antagonists are probably about as good as it gets for combating psychedelic nausea effectively with as little of their own psychoactive contribution as possible. That said, nausea is a complicated thing and there's probably still ways it can worm its way into your subjective experience despite having the best meds. You've just got to try it and hope for the best.

I think it's theorized, but not confirmed, that psychedelics at least partly cause nausea through their action at 5HT3.

There are a lot of 5HT3 receptors in the gut, hence why plugging bypasses them. The bodyload is from 5HT activation outside the CNS e.g. adrenergic receptors (hence why 2Cs are so notorious for it; they are related to adrenaline structurally unlike Tryptamines).

aMT was such shit IMO. Made me feel sick for the first 2 hours then made me feel OKAY afterwards. Wouldn't do it again.
