The Big & Dandy Music on Dissociatives Thread

the first song reminds me of amon tobin, the second is indeed pretty pantha du prince like.

speaking of glitch-hop you might also like hudson mohawke http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJdlhNHCNqQ
still one of the best tunes for K/MXE is Gas (Mat Jarvis) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dvTe1-a6Pdo
and of course Uth serves the cosmic floating wave also pretty well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcKS25tjzqE

Having a session tonight and will definitely try the Mat Jarvis tune, cheers

Play this, LOUDLY, and thank me later.

Perfect mix for ketamine... do a fat dose right as you hit play, it will kick in at the beginning and start fading away near the end. You'll be slapped up, down and sideways by the bass for a amazing hour

Not exactly disjointed, but this always did the trick for me pre-launch:

Boredoms - Seadrum

Aphex twin and between the buried and me carried me maaaany places :)

Makes me happy to see fellow btbam fans on this site! Listened to their whole "colors" album while holing on mxe before. That was one hell of a ride :)

Never Knows Best, that's a bootleg or something. Nujabes only has 3 albums: Modal Soul, Metaphorical Music and Spritual State.

Here's what I was talking about with older Ta-Ku tunes (3 links there!)

And here is Kutmah. The man is pretty much a god in this scene (LA Beats/Glitch-hop), though not a lot of people seem to know him. He was the host of the Sketchbook Radio nights and without him things like Low End Theory probably wouldn't exist. Also, if you want to have a good read search "FREE KUTMAH", the man used to be an illegal citizen in the US and got busted for that.

+1 for Higher Intelligence Agency, great album.
In a similar ambient dubby vein is Sounds From The Ground. Heard it one night on Soma FM & got the albums, Bright White Light is my favorite of the 3 that I have.

Also, if you can find it there is an album put out in 1994 by Howie B & a few other great producers under the name SKYLAB that is bar none the best electronic music I have ever heard. Every time I listen to it it just sucks me into another world

Oh my, I should have said "mixtape" rather than "album",

Anyway, I'm on a dissociative right now (and cannabinoid and GABAergic, my trifecta), and I'm listeing to this:
