I am using weed to help me stay off alcohol (alcoholic here) and take it easy on the benzos (not hooked, but I know it's a bad road)
I've even quit smoking cigarettes, and I honestly never thought that was going to happen.
So I'm inclined to say weed can be a (relatively) benign thing to do, and possibly even help with some things. Depends on the person, I suppose.
It also helps me make vague, meaningless, feel-good statements, like that one^
