There's acting in the best interests of harm reduction, then there's acting like a prick ;)
 
Standard Ibuprofen tablets are 200mg., so 48 of them would be 9.6g. Ibuprofen is much less hepatotoxic than paracetamol (whose therapeutic dose is not much less than the dangerous dose, and also it isn't very strong anyway so there is a temptation to take more than is good for you) and also is a stomach irritant (though less so than aspirin -- just one 300 mg. Anadin pill made me as sick as a dog) so probably would get puked up before too long. It's still worth dialling 999 at that level anyway.
