I love living over looking the river in an old wharfy suburb so there are lots of historical remnants tucked in around the more gentrified houses. I really love this old grandstand over looking the cricket ground that my place backs onto. When I die I'm leaving enough money in my will so they can build a white picket fence around it to make it perfect
There's no architecture in the world like a classic Qlder - yours is gorgeous Samadhi! I love the deck in the front. Not too many of them around these days sadly.
Oh, this isn't mine *sob* (in case you thought it was hehe!) - it was taken in Torbanlea (about 3.5 hours north of Brisbane - i have family there). This house was the b&b we stayed in as the farmhouse on the property was already full. We had breakfast on the side balcony (on the right) every morning and inside was restored to original. It was stunning. I love that part of the world
Samadhi, I remember Caleb promising you pictures of the forest around our little beach city. This morning I hiked down to a river spot we went to a lot when he was a kid.
The oldest are 1,400-1,800 years old and grow to approximately 300 feet (90 m) tall and over 16 feet in diameter! These are the only old-growth trees in this park, I think.

Thank you for sharing such beautiful photos - those trees are mind-blowing and fresh-running water always seems to fill me with energy - even photos lift me up
Absolutely stunning photos from both neko & miss_vanilla. Where are you in Australia?
This was taken from the suburb that we'll hopefully be moving to. There are fewer, more beautiful things on Earth than a red-cloud sunset (or sunrise). This is the former.
