the girls are well cast. kirsten dunst will be a perfect camille, worn and stressed by the boys' bullshit. i can definitely see kristen stewart as mary lou. and amy adams as jane lee works for me. i'm sold. totally not gonna like this movie though.

It's my fault really for not being able to mentally separate her real life persona (or at least my image of it) and her on-screen character. Whenever I see her in the movie, it's going to be like, "okay, this hipster looks SO out of place here. where'd she come from? somebody get her off stage!"

I'm definitely excited and I am going to watch it but I am also prepared to be let down. Its always really hard for movies to live up to books that classic. That being said the trailer looks pretty great and the actors look like they will fit the characters pretty well. I just hope they stick to the plot. That's where The Rum Diary went wrong (still a decent movie, just not a great one) I'm interested to see how the scenes in New Orleans and in Mexico/South America turn out.
