If we're going so far as to include hardcore as being metal (as many are apt to do), then my "metal" of the moment has been Remembering Never for the past 3 or 4 years, I love Carnifex, Suicide SIlence, JFAC, KOTA, Despised Icon, etc. but RN has always had a special place in my fucking heart.

I've been really vibing on Mastodon recently, specifically their albums Blood Mountain and Crack the Skye, which were some of the first new records that I bought for myself when they came out, when i was younger. Currently listening to Leviathan, their second album. I love how psychedelic they are.
 
Sikth have just announced their reformation. This band basically shaped my childhood so this is huge news for me.
