vertikal is easily my favorite cult of luna album. pretty much all songs are great.
 
OK, enough is enough! I've seen pages of old, out-dated, and quite frankly, metal that doesn't just quite cut it!

It's time you opened your ears and let wash over you an eargasm of real thrash metal.

Beneath Dead Waves - I'd describe them as a cross between Tool, Sylosis, and Slipknot. The album that this track is taken from is seeeeriously fuckin' awesome. I cannot stress enough to any real metal head that you need to get hold of it!! Go on! NOW!!!





Fallen Fate - Pure thrash at it's most frenetic, yet melodic. Don't need to say anything other than that. Sort yourself and have a gander!

Sounds like the guitarist from 'Fall of Troy' but a bit more subdued... I don't know if it is but this is a beautiful piece of music.
Heavier on the harmonics and they do it well!
 
just for the record: nightwish might be the worst metal band in the history of awful metal bands. that being said, here's something genuinely great:

I love metal and lean more toeards thrash than most other stuff. The usual suspects of course, big 4 plus the bay area thrashers but love the new schoolers like Havok, Municipal Waste, Warbringer, Toxic Holocaust/ Love underground stuff, the best metal is always underground and the thrash scene at the moment is growing again to the best I have seen in years which is good to see.
