hi there artificial emotion, well im devastated had a look at my girl yesterday after she has beeh, on 12/12 now for 4wks, and now and i have found seeds!!! Now even that this is my first grow and im new to it i know that this is the last thing i needed,
so i know this is the end for her/him and ill have to just look forward to my next one,
so now i need to know why? Is it some thing i have done wrong or some thing i havent done or is it just that she was a he all along, now i know there were no seeds up until the time i found them,
she has loads of pistills and buds and has recovered from the over feeding, oh i forgot, iv was given it as a baby so i dont know its origin but it showed ALL the signs of being a her, so can a plant turn at ant time in its life cycle? Or was it always a he? or is it some problem with my grow room? I have so many questions going round my brain , so pls can you or any one else here help and give me any advice or even tell me wat or where i have gone wrong, also shall i just throw it in the bin or should i dry it out and try smoking it? Is it worth it,
Sorry its so long but im so confused, i just want to know why, then i will put it down to experience and improve my set up and move on , thanx for any in put any one
Don't worry. I have a jar of probably one of the most potent samples of weed you've seen in a long while and it was in fact from a seeded crop. Weed from a seeded crop can still potentially be excellent, so all is not lost. Plus you have loads of free seeds!
The only thing that could have caused it to become seeded is the presence of a male. Either that's your doing (i.e. you didn't catch a male soon enough or missed it all together), or it's the person's fault who gave it to your, or finally someone else is growing nearby and the wind carried pollen from their males (less likely but within the realms of possibility).
So don't throw it away. Harvest it and smoke it up after removing all seeds. I can assure you it's not a male. It's just a female that has been pollenated by a male.
In future don't accept clones or seedlings from other people. They are a major cause of bringing in diseases or pests into your grow room. I would suggest buying good quality F1 or F2 seeds from a reputable seedbank and growing them yourself, from scratch. It's the only way to be sure you don't run into problems like you're experiencing!
