Matt parry friends tv star drowned in hot tub and just got clean 2 yrs ago or less. Opiates and alcohol.

Toxicology report is not out yet

You think it was a Relapse?

Per my typical cynical reaction, I do think it was probably a relapse. People don't just "drown" in hot tubs unless they are on drugs or have a heart attack, they're so shallow you really need to become unconscious for that to happen. His DOCs were opioids and alcohol. Celebrities who write books about addiction usually always relapse, but I guess that's no surprise, most people relapse in general.

I'm curious how they knew it was drowning so soon? Don't they have to do an autopsy to confirm that? Usually when celebrities die in this manner the headlines do not come with cause of death.

On a side note, he has a huge fan base and many people love him for his role in F.R.I.E.N.D.S, but the guy was a major asshole off camera. Many people said they were blindsided by how he talked major shit about them in his book. If you notice, none of his castmates from FRIENDS have made any statements about this.

I thought maybe he was an asshole due to his addictions, but apparently the guy has always been that way. He even beat up Justin Trudeau when they went to school together, lol.

I do not mean to speak ill of the dead, RIP.

covid vax killed him

Never go in hot tubs high on opiates tho. I’ve been found nodding out into one

It’s the the most relaxing thing to do on opiates too so it’s tempting to want to do.

Nick carter and Whitney Houston and her kids all died this way also

On a side note, he has a huge fan base and many people love him for his role in F.R.I.E.N.D.S,

yea I’m waiting for the toxicology reports to come out and the inevitable blaming of doctors and pharma companies rather than blaming addiction/drug addicts

It’s wild how in any media or social media all the lynch mob wants is doctor/pharma blood whenever someone famous dies of an illicit fentanyl OD. Or on a smaller scale when ever anyone dies basically. However when the problem turns to homelessness, crime, gang activity and everything else bundled up into the black market ecosystem the public wants to just rounds up and exterminate drug addicts.

These two approaches are so inconsistent as to assigning blames and it just shows that humans are nasty little buggers that just want to slander and assign blame or be angry and everyone from the biggest pharma company on earth to the poorest drug user on the street

I get that addiction is a disease but it’s not quite the same as having cancer. People make decisions. The public seems to have lost that completely and there’s this rabid obsession with the sackler family in particular

Purdues whose patents on oxycodone expired and they stopped being the majors sellers of oxy in view of generic manufactures….so long before the alleged “opioid epidemic”. Which didn’t even become an epidemic until opioids were essentially banned from clinic use. You can see here that it was pretty steady all the way until the CDC release guidelines in concert when the DEAs war on pain management in 2016 caused a massive vertical spike in death right after 2016 once fentanyl instantly replaced oxy

This lynch mob mentality looking for someone (pharma/doctors/pharmacists) to blame all this on is a gross and pathetic reaction and has only worsened the problem and the worse it gets the more people want to blame a drug company for 30 years ago allegedly tricking doctors into thinking a CII drug, defined as having a high risk for abuse; did not have a high risk for abuse.

Ppl have it in their head that sales reps with zero medical expertise tricked MDs into ignorning a CII drug classification and whenever someone dies all the blame gets thrown at this pathetic scapegoat which I’m sad to say the public is dumb enough to believe. It’s so frustrating.

I don’t want to say the blame lies with the addict because that sounds harsh…but I think it’s the truth if there is anyone to blame in any of these situations it’s people made a choice to continue down this road rather than face the harshness of living without abusing drugs.

When I first read he'd died, I immediately thought he's took his own life or overdosed accidentally, but the first news to come out said it was a heart attack, in his hot tub, the other news articles said he'd drowned and since then no ones mentioned the heart attack but it was in 2 news reports in the early hours, soon as the news came out

The fact his last 2 posts on Instagram a bit ominous considering where he was found makes me think maybe he did end it all, took way to much Oxy on purpose and got into his hot tub knowing what he was doing

I recently read his book it was actually really good, I also watch Friends all the time, soon as I found out about his death, I put Friends on again from the beginning

I think toxicology reports can take months so be a while till we find out, that's if his family release the results

Edit, this is strange I came off here, went on Facebook and there's an article saying 7 of his recent posts sound like a cry for help, some are just very strange too, most about batman, but also like I thought, like he's trying to make a point, or get a message across without actually saying the words

I guess he maybe wanted to take a relaxing opioid-filled-bath probably accompanied by alcohol and nodded off too heavily falling asleep.

So toxicology says no meth or fent, and he was pickleballin’ earlier so honestly could be dehydration that passed him out 😢

They do a more detailed toxicology screening that takes weeks or months, so if they have done one a simple drug screen it wouldn't be the proper one, where did you see the article on it saying that they've tested him for drugs?

There were no illegal drugs found at the scene, and the solid tox report usually takes weeks or months to come out in these cases. They did find antidepressants and "anti-anxiety" meds, not sure if that means benzos. We can really only speculate at this point. It's a shame either way. Didn't know he was an asshole irl, he was my favorite in the show really, the only one that was effortlessly funny imo. Usually ppl that are like that use drugs and alcohol as a means to suppress the guilt and shame they feel for their actions and behaviors.

The extremely rich usually don’t lower themselves to those drugs unless by mistake.

They tend to stick to coke and oxy 30s (the real ones)

When Mac Miller died the text conversations between him and his dealer(s) were released and made public. It was an interesting look into the situation, and for the most part it seemed like he bought drugs like any other regular person (other than it being a VIP service that sells escorts along with drugs).

It is sad, I read his book couple of months back it's so good, he takes the piss out of himself in such a funny charming way, his character Chandler and him are so similar in how they talk, the "could it BE" way Chandler talked was his idea, him and his mates in college talked like it for a laugh

Yeah I read no drugs found at the scene, addicts are sneaky, he wouldn't of left a bottle of Oxys out for his assistant to find or see on the side, a proper search of his house would be needed but yeah it's all speculation I also wouldn't be surprised if it was a heart attack which made him drown the amount he's put his body through

I remember when Phillip Seymour Hoffman OD’d, they went after the people who sold him his shit. It was an “upscale” service that sold drugs to jazz musicians in NYC iirc lol but as far as the drugs & presentation of the drugs went, it was identical to what anyone could drive out to Newark and buy, esp. during 2014 when he died
