Headphones and what about them

I'm using Audio-Technica ws99
and
Shure 215

Both are amazing. My buddy might be getting a pair of the 50x's soon, so i'm looking forward to comparing them with the s99's. Looking to replace the BeyerDynamic Custome One's he just got, which were sorely lacking in the high/mid area...

I'm in a market for a cheap, portable amp, anyone have any recommendations?

My favourite pairs are Sony MDR V6 - They're pretty much industry standard in radio/tv/film production. You can't beat them for the price.
