Well Borat, we believe women should be equal to men in society

/Borat emits uncontrollable chuckle

Everything about this movie is sooo wrong, yet I couldn't control my laughter the whole time.

Especially the part when him and his producer are in the hotel room fighting, and sasha coen has this foot long black bar over his penis. I read somewhere that he never breaks character. Apparently he got drunk one time playing borat, which he does often, and passed out, then later woke up in character. crazy.

Seeing Borat, got me interested in Sasha's work and then I stumbled upon his Ali G show, I think the Ali G show as a whole is probably 10 times funnier than Borat -The Movie. the guy is brilliant that is all I have to say.

^True Crazeee, but the Borat movie is a shitload better than the Ali G movie, I do agree with you though about the show itself being very funny

I went to see this today, expecting a great deal from it given the enormous amount of hype and critical acclaim.
of all the people in the forum, you are absolutely the last person i would expect to be taken in by industry hype...

Although there were some quite funny parts in the film, especially racist/sexist remarks, I got quite quickly bored by it and was looking at my watch wondering when it was going to finish. I gave it 3 stars for 'average' as it had it's moments but I wont go out of my way to see it again.

One thing I did note from the film was how paranoid/racist that the general american public seem to be. If this film had have been shot in Australia you would not have seen people shitting themselves running down the street away from him or any of that kind of shit.

I don't know about that, don't use this film as a representation of everyone here in the U.S.
And I'm sure with time, they would have indeed found some one running away from him there too.

The packed theatre tonight was totally and utterly in hysterics for most of the runtime. Nice work. Much better than i expected. As previously mentioned, a hell of a lot better than the ali g film.
4/5

I saw this the day it opened here in WA. Bloody brilliant, he's a genius :)

Theres a few golden deleted scenes on youtube =D

My 13-year-old son is travelling here by foot, with his two wives and his three childrens.” “If he survives the journey I have promised him that he can make penetration with Colombian prostitute Shakira.

To the world, I love you! Apart from Uzbekistan. Assholes.

imdb trivia

i particularly like these two bits
The police were called on Sacha Baron Cohen 91 times during the production of this film.

The suit Sacha Baron Cohen wears when playing Borat has deliberately never been cleaned.

I'm not usually... but in this case, given that it was from the creator of Ali G (and since usually his work is not acclaimed), I figured there must have been something exceptional about it that had caused it to get such a positive response. There wasn't.

I really don't understand how anybody could give this film five stars... and yes, I realise that most people who voted on this poll have done so... I would forgive '4 stars' (although to be honest I still find it incredible that anyone could possibly rate it this high) but 5 stars?!? That means the film is perfect and that it is up there with the greatest films ever made... What are you people, fucking crazy?

I doubt anyone who wasn't "fucking crazy" would even put half the amount of thought you expect into some goddamn Internet board rating for one little movie. Anyway, you're wrong. Borat is indeed that funny. One joke per second.

I loved Borat! I saw all his earlier sketches and the movie turned out to be funnier than anything I've seen before! I love the rodeo scene omg hahahaha, heh, sorry, hehehe

i really liked "cars"
but anyway, since when has box office actually meant anything outside of well marketed and/or quick massive run movies?
