Well if that is the case, then I can honestly respect that.
Personally Stoicism is definitely something that I am working on, but will always fall short. I think even Marcus Aurelius admitted that even he did, but he kept trying.
Also I find it's a hell of a lot easier to embody stoicism after consuming benzos, as stoicism then comes so very naturally and easily it seems to me. Anything can be faced, and taken in stride, (up to a point) with the strength and tranquility these things can provide.
It's so much harder without, or on the rebound, and although I have much less experience with opiates I think that exactly the same thing applies.
Easy to be stoic when opiated but very hard when w/d ing from them or craving for them.
I truly respect anyone that can be stoic in such circumstances.
