I'm referring specifically about people with certain mental illnesses who are resistant to all psychiatry for one reason or another, usually a complete distrust of doctors,
thus a worsening of their condition because they refuse to take medication and end up using drugs to self medicate. It's almost always the wrong decision. Especially a young guy like OP.

We do typically know more than doctors about drugs, however if one took the time to explain DXM's potential serotonin damage (which is well documented, doc could look it up), then best treatment could be determined.

The first half you described me, I was resistant to the diagnosis and even minor medication but I started doing meth…. I don’t know what I was thinking I wish I could go back and beat my ass senseless. I’m trying tho, I have an appointment Tommorow, gonna talk to the doctor get a mood medication maybe

In regard to your porn sessions... First of all, know that meth and porn basically go hand in hand.. And dude.. The time spent watching porn that you mentioned was nothing bro.. I was considerably fucked up in the head at that time and I wanted it to go away... Well it went away alright, and here I am 44yrs old having a tough time STILL... Anyways man, just wanted to share that w u, hopefully I can represent the situation you want to avoid.. Also-the mentally ill feeling you speak of is gonna take some time man.. Those stimulants you're using make you feel amazing indeed.. But, once you're clean for a bit, it feels like nothing on earth can bring you excitement and you just feel blah and probably a bit down and depressed..those drugs--well mainly the meth induces such large bursts of dopamine each time you use it----bursts larger than your brain can stand and dopamine receptors get damaged.. So right now yours are healing.. Takes a little bit bro...it sucks.. And it's the main cause of meth relapse.. It's vicious.. Anyway have a good night bro
