okay now my 2010 budget is bust

picked up a pair of premium "motorsports" vi's in a nike store in china. real deal. i didn't intend to get these as they generally go for quite a bit and i have two vi's already, but these were like $100 off ebay prices. couldn't resist.

closed off the remaining couple hundred at a eastbay sale. used a combo of discount to get a great deal on....
white/silver/3m 2's

the leather on these are great quality

they changed the NIKE to AIR on the back

i've read this is due to the encapsulated air sole being extended fro just the heel to the whole length

and Alpha 1 Tinker Hatfield editions

unbelievably comfy

light as hell

full length bottom loaded zoom
basically it's modern tech with classic style

also in china i picked up three pairs of unreal fakes
china xq 1's

motorsport iv's

both of the above could be worth up to about $3K, but i paid ten bucks each

and laser III's

only one pair of this design exists, but the colours on the real one has black laser and yellow accents. the one pair was made for MJ's bday a while back.

one of my dream shoes is a fire red vi, and they don't exist. i already have the exact colour shoe paint..... hmmmm decisions decisions.... what say you?

got xmas pressie kicks early due to great price opportunity (including shipping and currency conversion, exactly half aus retail price)

air jordan 2010

toe box completely separate from the main shoe, making them impossible to crease and extremely flexible

asymmetrical design more inline with the shape of an ankle

broad forefoot for excellent stability

with white socks

with black socks

i was expecting more rigidity with the bottom loaded zoom, but the extra cushioned inner sole really surprised me. easily the most comfy shoe straight out of the box.

holy moley, best things evar!

a few months back i saw on ebay full length nike air zoom inner soles and i drooled for a week but held back due to the reasonably steep usd$50 pricetage per pair. zoom air is the ultimate shoe sole cushioning method. all the most comfortable jordans have full length zoom in them.

anyway, turns out one contact i have in china got them wholesale. picked up a sample pack and....

very familiar with eastbay and have a few purchases from them. they're good for international shipping. even better for discount codes, my last purchase from them used a combination of codes, including discont vouchers.

like, you can buy a voucher with a discount code, then buy a shoe already on sale, apply the same discount code as you did on the voucher on that sale and pay for it with the voucher.

there's a mythical slam dunk pack which has never arrived. it was meant to contain a pair of the two shoes mj wore when he won the slam dunk comp, the 2's and 3's. now, i'm getting a doernbecher charity slam dunk pack, a pair of db 2's from a few years back and the new db 3's which come out in about 10 days.

a mate in the states already copped my 2's for me (these)

i've been wanting these for years. found an online store with them for $100-$150 less than ebay :D

the db 3's coming out next month are these

the black and the red around the toe box is reflective 3m and the soles clear ice

that would make three of the four charity jordans and i'm not so interested in the 1's. seems like copping the charities each year may become my bday present tradition. there can't be more than a handful of each model in all of aus. i rule, thanks to a certain niketalk buddy.
