Bupe Buprenorphine Withdrawals

hi , my plan is doesn,t work .Yesterday i was have only 450mgs codeine and took it at 11am , and at 11pm wd,s was starting , rls , no power for antyhing , and i must took about 3mgs of bupe and i slept.(i am very angry for myself i took it after 14days last dose)
I dont know what plan select now , about 3 days i propably get some dhc and tramadol and can start it again , or taper bupe to 1mgs , then 450 or less will be work well, cause i am taking always 4mgs bupe and 450codeine work well always , but i recently taking 8mgs and i thing its the reason what the same amount of codeine doesnt work (maybe it happen only once , i dont konow). Now i will try to take as much bupe i can , and when i gain some dhc and tramadol switch to it .thanks for read/reply

Check out this thread bro: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=538328

There's a post in there explaining how the bloke dosed his Codeine three times a day, 150mg each dose, making it 300mg per day. Worth a read. What Pegasus said is spot on the money. I would have quoted the post but this silly phone has no Copy option! :)

^Thanks Ashley ;] Its look pretty good .Can you tell me ,or someone else about do the same with tramadol (retard if better) ? same doses will be enought ?

How long after jumping off Suboxone do you have to wait before taking another opiate? I mean, for the opiate to work.

I ask because I had to get off Suboxone back in December in order to prepare for surgery, so the pain meds would take effect. I was off of it for three days, and was prescribed Norco (my original opiate of choice and what got me on Sub in the first place... haha.) Funny thing, the Norco didn't provide any type of high or even pain relief. I did, however, feel the lovely itchy and burning sensations that opiates give you, and it did stave off the Sub withdrawals. However, I was on them for a good month, and at no point did they come close to providing any type of pain relief. Is this because I wasn't off of the Sub long enough... or is it because the Sub made my tolerance to opiates too high?

Just curious, because I'd like to try and taper with some sort of weak opiate as well.

Depends on the individual body and the dose you jumped off of, it is usually around 2-3 days, but as little as one day for some people on <2mg doses...

Hm.. I guess it was just because I was on such a high dose at the time then. It just kind of hit me that bupe is a strange drug. It may just be the withdrawals talking, but I am slightly amazed at the fact that they use a stronger opiate to get people off the weaker ones.

majkel007; Tramadol does work a little bit. I have been taking Tramadol ER 100mg... and it definitely takes the edge off. Combine it with some benzo's if you have any, and you should be good to go. Then again, I'm not at the worst of it yet, so I don't know how much it will help full-blown w/d's.

well since you went from 2mg to .5 mg, you'll be fine..
all of my rehab detox's with suboxone have been 2mg to nothing, and thats the hard part.
dont stress, if your feeling a little wd's keep yourself occupied

If Suboxone is used to wean someone, it should only be used for a few days. Maintenance is another story...

lol, yeah. My doc failed to disclose that information; I've been on it for about a year now. I sure wish I had just used it during the worst of the Vicodin withdrawals... in that case, I could have been off of it within a week 8o

No worries mate. No idea on the Tramadol though, sorry bro.

My doctor left that bit out too, now here my partner and I are 3 years later.

lol... gotta love the ignorance of 99% of doctors regarding Suboxone. To be quite honest, I never questioned the medical community and their intentions until I got on this stuff.

I've been on bupe maintienance for 6 months starting at 8mg and moving down to 4mg. I jumped off at 4mg. I went 5 days (with only a few trams the first 2 days). And needless to say it was pretty bad. On the 5th day I went back to my doc to see if I could get some comfort meds, and he Rx'ed me 2mg bupe. So from 5/18 till today (5/29) ive been dosing 2mg/day (11 days).

My question is since I went 5 days with no bupe, and took half the dose I jumped off at for 11 days (2mg) am I gonna be basically starting over with my w.d or will the pain be considerably less/not as bad?

Vyvanse prescription is the godsend for kicking bupe (again and again)

1 week of Suboxone highs = HELL Withdrawal! HOW?????

I am now home for the summer from college and living at home. I go to work 40 hrs a week. When I got back from school I started getting small chunks of bupe from a buddy. Things were great, and I was definately getting high off of the bupe and feeling good on the days that i used it. I didnt use it EVERY day, maybe every 3 days. Never felt any withdrawal before.

Well last weekend on Friday while hanging out with my buddy I obtained a FULL 8mg bupe pill. We were snorting and smoking dope and snorting 30 mg roxy. I was excited to have the bupe so I wouldnt feel like shit on Sat morning AND i could be faded the next week. Smooth, right? NOO This pill lasted me Friday through Friday. The lines of bupe i was snorting continued to increase bc i had the WHOLE pill. What an idiot I am. Just one full week of continued bupe snorting has me where I am now.

The day after I killed the bupe, I got a hold of 3 30mg ROXY little blue guys. I did two of them on Sunday, and one on monday.

I started to feel the withdrawal on Monday (DAY 1), but i had no idea i felt so shitty bc of withdrawal.. I thought that maybe I was just sick. So i went home and did my remainin roxy 30. made me feel good until i woke up tuesday (DAY 2) for work.

Day 1--- intense hot flashes and cold flashes, sweating, restless legs and arms and my brain just wont calm down. Hard to sleep! wanna jump outta my skin. actually got 5 hrs of sleep after taking an ambien from my dad.

Day 2-- hot and cold flashes-- temperature will not stabilize.. very very uncomfortable and i feel like i am wired.. Heart is beating so hard and fast and I cannot sleep at ALL. my body feels like it is about to run off the start line in a foot race. Hard to sleep! wanna jump outta my skin. actually got 5 hrs of sleep after taking an ambien from my dad.

Day 3-- hot and cold flashes have gone away for the most part body is irritable and queezy. hard to sit still. I exercised and took a shower but I only got a total of 3 hrs of sleep-- TORTURE fell asleep at 11 and woke up at 2AM and wasnt able to go back to sleep

Day 4-- mild hot cold flashes. I NEED SLEEP but cannot sleep!!my body is killing me. It hurts and my hear will not stop beating like a mad man!! Is this normal?? my blood pressure must be sky high

I didnt use the bupe for very long, but I guess a week of 1mg per day is long enough. Will i recieve any mercy on my withdrawal because i didnt use for over 6 months like most of you. Anybody have the same problem as me??

BTW i do not have addiction problems... havent even thoughT about taking another pill to stop this madness. THIS IS A WAKE UP CALL its the POINT OF NO RETURN!! I NEVER KNEW I WOULD FEEL THIS TERRIBLE. THEREFORE, I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN

Trust me, stick with it and never touch an opiate again at least for a very long time. If you can control yourself and use like once a week or every two weeks your fine. You never ever want to know what withdrawals from a full agonist opiate is like... It's weeks and months of pure hell.

Hey guys,

Any input on my situation would be greatly appreciated. I have given some of this information in a similar thread but have not received many replies from people who have been on bupe for maintenance.

I was on bupe for about 3 years at 24-28mg. In the third year I was on 90mg methadone for about 6 months. I got off that and back onto bupe at 4mg. Spent a week at 4mg then a month on 2mg. I finished with one dose of 1mg and then, two days later, another dose of 1mg.

Since the last 1mg dose it's been about 9 days. I've been taking, at night, 2mg diazepam and 60mg codeine. I get intense RLS during the days, am always sneezing and yawning, have some stomach pain and liquid shit. I am also intensely anxious and depressed.

I would love some opinions on how much longer I'll be sick for. I feel that I need these opinions to come from people who have been on bupe for maintenance, as opposed to just for fun or for detox. Effectively I stopped, after 3 years on big doses, at 2mg, although there were 2 1mg doses that trailed on the end.

I've been doing cardio almost every day - not because I want to or because it is not fucking hard, but because I can't sit still. The worst of the physical stuff seems to have subsided but it's hard to know how big a role the codeine/valium are playing. I read another post in this thread from someone who had used tramadol like I'm using codeine to get off bupe; they seemed to think it eliminated rather than prolongued the bupe WD's.

aquaman- Sorry you're going through that :( yes, everything you are going through is normal. If you want to feel better, I would just suck it up and call your doctor... tell him/her what's going on... and try to get a script for a few benzo's and CLONODINE. If you're having issues with blood pressure, the clonodine will help you soooo much with the RLS and body temperature regulation. It might help you sleep too. The benzo's will take the edge off the mental anguish and help you sleep as well. Good luck with everything! If you can't do that then just stick it out, if the withdrawals are from the Roxy's as opposed to the Subs, the worst of it is over by now. :)

suessmayr- I haven't successfully gotten off Suboxone after maintenance use, but I do know quite a bit about the withdrawal process as I've been there. You're nine days into it, so you're about halfway done. The worst of the physical withdrawals for Subs last about two weeks then after that you'll start getting your energy back. You'll be about good as new before the month is over, maybe even sooner! Either way, I promise the worst of it is VERY close to being over for you. After that, all you have to deal with is PAWS (maybe, not everyone gets it). And cravings obviously, those are a given. But like I said (I think to you) earlier, you can take 5-HTP and St John's Wort to combat those. Hope I helped, good luck!

the only thing that really bothered me was the malaise and slight "down n out" feeling

Thanks xburtonchic - I can't take 5-HTP or St. John's Wort as I take Avanza and Lexapro. They interact because St. John's Wort is just a natural/weak anti-depressant and 5-HTP is a precursor of tryptophan which is converted to serotonin.

Damn^ you're rx'd mirtazipine AND lexapro! you must be hella depressed!
