Man, the darknet is what really went to shit, I feel. The RC scene in the US is really shit. I think I'm better off for it. lol Strictly marijuana and psychs. Maybe I should cut those out, too. lol How have you been, Solipsis? The rest of you? I've been putting so much time and energy into my job, which has left me so tired but with so little time to waste--I sure try to use what I have left wisely.

Hahahaha! This is how I perceive people when I'm on weed and stims -- it's just out there. I have to sigh and remind myself of my altered state, and parlay with my anxiety such that I realize that worrying is not helpful anyway. Hahahaha I have been especially prone to anxiety lately.

Guerilla farming sounds like a fun thing to try.

Well, some of the biggest suppliers are gone, and reddit got purged of source discussion, and I'm guessing people are scared they're going to get busted so there are less of them. I also heard the dark net got a lot of places raided. Mark my words, it's the pox of the RC opioids that has led to this, at least in large part. Fucking idiot vendors... even some of our most trusted. :\

I see hardly anything interesting and new, especially not that novel - although of course I do appreciate the whole development of lysergamides, no question about that! Benzo RCs are apparently doing alright but I don't wanna use more new ones or talk about that..
Maybe people are less interested in RCs because they use the darknet now for illicit stuff?

I also blame nbomes and those potent rc stims for the downfall and bringing lots of heat.

Are there any grey area psyches that are even worthwhile and not extremely dangerous? Not asking for suggestions just curious since Iv'e been out of the loop for years. I'm also don't feel like going through the same risks I used to go through to get them.
If I ever feel like tripping again I thankfully have a bit of 2c-b and some other classics tucked away.
 
The RC scene is definitely not what it once was. However, the nootropics scene right now is extremely interesting to follow. I'm not interested in nootropics for the most part, except for some niche uses like adjunct antidepressants or dream enhancement, but it's a really neat area to watch grow. I wonder if the same fate will befall the nootropics scene that has befallen the RC scene, what with drugs like tianeptine, phenibut, adrafinil, and cyclazodone being sold alongside the racetams and choline precursors. Although I hope our drug policy (both as a country and as a species) becomes enlightened before that has a chance to completely destroy either the recreational or nootropic RC scenes.

I think when unscrupulous people started selling packets of god-knows-what at gas stations and headshops labeled as "incense" or "bath salts", it was the beginning of the end for the scene. Phenazepam, diphenylprolinol analogues, and NBOxs were bad news, but at least you had to kind of know what you were doing to access those. But when people who have no idea who RCs are or what the risks are started having access to potent untested compounds, some of which turned out to have substantial physical risks, then it became the subject of hand-wringing news articles about the latest dangers to your children, and that's how the fearful lizard brain of the broader public and our elected representatives gets engaged and starts making terrible public policy decisions.

I think there are currently many good grey market psychs around. But they're mostly ones that have been around for a long time, or prodrugs to stone-cold classics like psilocin and LSD. Some of the classic 2Cs like 2C-E and 2C-C are still in the grey area in certain countries (not including the US sadly AFAIK) as well.
 
Aww that's a bummer, I didn't know that RCs were disappearing. I've been out of the loop as well, haven't tripped in years, but have checked from time to time if some of the domestic vendors are still around (they are).
I miss tripping. Those were simpler times. Life was a celebration.
 
I wouldn't say they're disappearing, but I've watched a lot of vendors go out of business or get busted over the past year. More concerningly a lot of fora with information about sources (especially regarding safety, avoiding scams, etc) have gotten taken offline.

Tryptamines are probably the one drug class that's weathered the storm the best, and lysergamides are absolutely booming, but psychedelic phenethylamines and amphetamines are getting harder and harder to find on the clearnet. There's a bit of a drought for arylcyclohexylamines as well. Cathinones and cannabinoids are still around, but getting into shittier and shittier permutations to avoid the everchanging laws (or so it would seem from user reports, I don't really fuck with either of those classes).
 
Glad I've got what I've got... The scene isn't what it used to be, even in the very recently pre-Trump era. Something tells me him and the arrival of his AG have somethin' to do with this.

Either way, sad times. But it happens to coincide with my desire to get a job that demands complete sobriety. So maybe for the best? Who knows.

I wish society would just let us be.

I'm glad I've got what I've got, too. And I do find it very interesting that the tryptamines have basically weathered all the storms we've had since the original 2001 web-tryp operation.
 
I also think fentalogues and NBOMes are to blame for what's going on with the RC scence. In my country most RCs were unheard of and untouched by the law just a few years ago, including all 2C-X. But since bustings started increasing for NBOMe sold as acid, we got more news articles about the "threat of synthetic drugs" and headlines about how "Desinger drugs are flooding the country while avoiding the law". After that they started mass-banning substances every year. Just a month ago they decided to make most tryptamines and all LSD analogues ilegal here ... real bummer.
 
Yeah, the fentalogues are real bad news. Nothing good to say about those.

I was actually excited when I initially saw the NBOxs on the scene, because I'd been following the scholarly research about them. But that excitement quickly dampened once we found out what they were like. And anyone who knowingly sold NBOxs as acid are IMO totally reprehensible for doing so.
 
The opioid epidemic in the US has reached a fever pitch with the fentalogues. So much heroin is being laced with fent analogues or is simply a blend of fent analogues made to look like heroin, and it's killing people. Increasingly, fentanyl has even been found in cocaine, MDMA, etc. It's crazy. It's big news, obviously, and it's put the heat on the RC scene very badly. They're a plague and it's a case of short-sighted high-profit/high-risk substances ruining it for the whole scene. I knew the second those hit that it was gonna be bad. Actually I think the beginning of the mass awareness of RCs came from when in Europe they started branding blends of substances as "plant food" and suddenly everyone and their mom was openly consuming mystery drugs... then it happened in the US as "bath salts".

Doing great myself, my downswings aren't really too bad anymore and I bounce a bit between weed, alcohol, pregabalin and sometimes kratom.. psychs of course, in another category for me always! Sometimes frequently but it was a little while before this ETH-LAD trip.. or at least compared to semiweekly or something.

Great points about the RC scene, all; Xorkoth probably is spot on. Maybe NBOMe's caught attention, but it is in no way an epidemic like the opioids as far as I can tell. But at festivals with a lot more mystery acid I guess a lot more people bug out from unexpected reactions though not necessary ultra harmful and only a handful fatal afaik. Did I remember something about cigarettes putting NBOMe's in really high gear just like IIRC they can with DXM? Metabolism interactions right? I don't think a lot about NBOMe's anymore thankfully....

Although I can't blame them for coming down hard on the opioid crisis (who though - trump seems to do fuck all), I am not terribly hopeful about the smuggling part because so little material is needed. The distribution is probably an incredible network.. So yeah cracking down online might actually be one of the better ways but such a shame if everything else gets caught in the crossfire. Good for them if it reduces the number of users at least a bit but I think most of it will still just be distributed irl.

I still need to test sometimes whether I really don't tolerate 4 sub tryptamines well anymore or whether they were flukes / due to degraded material etc.. I did make mistakes storing so that's possible.. Gonna go with shrooms cause they are pretty reliable in that sense.

At some point during the ETH-LAD trip when I was deluded about synchronistic stuff (the TV talking to me and multiverse / simulation ideation, well the latter is not pure delusion IMO, I subscribe to some of those theories) I felt like it was no option to wind down for a bit, the reason being that it felt like everything was just programs trying to learn to improve the simulation / intelligence / world. It was apparently so convincing that it felt like I had to keep participating in the semi-messianistic madness, at least by interacting in the style of this trip. My point is: that made me feel like "I am getting too old for this shit", because it felt physically taxing to jump from extreme emotion/mindset to another extreme (or abstraction). I just can't tell if I am really more done with it than I used to be or if it is just part of tripping to feel like you are utterly screwed and then in the end it turns out everything is okay and it becomes a super valuable experience in hindsight.

I wasn't planning on buying 2C's anyway though if i have enough money i might go for esc or prosc. Trypts are appealing if I have not turned allergic.

Telling someone else what they can or cannot put in their own bodies is so meant for countries that are not yet developed enough for personal freedom. At least working theory is that these kinds of things including religion and other forced moral guides keep such less developed countries from falling into chaos. It's the only satisfactory idea I know about that kind of thing but I just wish people would realize when it doesn't apply anymore to modern developed countries with personal freedom. In any case, the US unfortunately isn't as free or developed as it likes to think it is and this current era isn't helping..

Wow xork 4 fora, not sure if that is a good sign or a bad sign haha - but normal rules don't seem to apply to you, e.g. your incredible appetite for psychedelics esp ones like DOC.. never ceases to amaze me
 
I used to be way crazier... I rarely take DOC anymore although I love it, simply because it keep me awake for SO long. I do take it a few times a year. I also take a tiny dose (.25mg or so) for when I make my 12 hour drive to visit my parents because it entirely eliminates driving fatigue without making me trip. Even at that dose I have to either drink a lot or take etizolam at night to sleep. Crazy duration, DOC has. These days I like to have a strong trip from time to time, I enjoy doing so at festivals when I'm with a lot of people I trust, and then I also like to take low doses weekly in the summer for hiking and such.
 
Haha yeah these things do involve thresholds / boundaries in the mind which can turn out really minor things. I guess it can be done to have more of a DOX habit but the threshold to go there always seemed high and I have had the same concerns about the duration and managing energy / schedule that you have now for much much longer / always.

It's really slow for me to get round to trying DOM or revisit 2C-T-2 or 2C-T-7 again but I really want to.. 2C-T-2 may be one of the things up next (for a second or third time).

I wonder if something like seroquel would be an option for stopping DOX. Not something I ever consider or advise, but it's one of the few things that might work that seem remotely reasonable. You don't really get useful search results with seroquel + DOC, lol

RC opioids are definitely what brought the whole thing down. I knew, as soon as my favorite vendors started selling fentanyl analogues, that we were screwed.
 
I received a "care package" of DOC once. I was so nervous about everything I'd learned about it that I was too wary to experiment with a regular dose, and enjoyed my sample in extremely small doses, to not much effect. I am looking forward to obtaining more some time to experience it properly.

The LSD that has been available to me lately, though, has been extremely potent. I think I've enjoyed 1P-LSD (at 150ug), AL-LAD (at 350ug) and 25i-NBOH (at 1mg) the most. I really want to try 2C-I sometime.

2C-I is fun but I never got anything valuable from it. 2C-E is the best 2C-X IMO, well, the deepest anyway, such a profound psychedelic. 2C-C is probably my favorite down-to-earth, useful 2C-X, it's like a slightly more psychedelic 2C-B, slightly less euphoric, but every time I take it I end up having good insights into myself. Great stuff. I actually like most of the 2C-Xs better than 2C-I.
